Rice vs. Charlotte Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: College Football Week 4

Last Updated: September 18, 2025 9:17 AM EDT • 5 minute read X Social Google News Link

It wasn’t easy to settle on a trifecta of Rice vs. Charlotte anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Thursday night’s American Conference clash from Jerry Richardson Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). After all, the Owls and 49ers have collectively produced a whopping three touchdowns against a combined three FBS opponents.
That likely explains why there’s such a low total in this contest, which features visiting Rice as a 2.5-point betting favorite. It also explains why Philip Wood likes a low-scoring game in his Rice vs. Charlotte prediction.
Yet while it was a bit challenging to come up with these college football picks, I stand by each of them just as our crew stands by their college football predictions for Week 4.

💰 Best Rice vs. Charlotte touchdown scorer props
Here are my favorite Rice vs. Charlotte anytime touchdown scorer picks based on the best college football odds for Week 4.
🔥 E. Jai Mason to score anytime TD (+155) ⭐⭐

Charlotte wideout E. Jai Mason logged his team’s only Week 1 touchdown on a 16-yard, fourth-quarter reception in the 49ers’ ugly 34-11 home loss to Appalachian State. Then, after being a non-factor the following week against North Carolina, Mason had a career game against Monmouth, hauling in 10 passes for 228 yards and two scores.
Mock the competition all you want, but that’s an impressive performance. Besides, when handicapping anytime touchdown props - especially in what figures to be a low-scoring game - it makes sense to ride the hot hand. And Mason’s hand (er, hands) are sizzling right now.
This play has an implied win probability of 39.22% at FanDuel, whose +155 price on Mason to score a TD leads the market. A $10 stake will bring back $15.50 if Mason finds the end zone again.
🔥 Aaron Turner to score anytime TD (+275) ⭐

Rice wideout Aaron Turner is officially listed as a slot receiver, but the 5-foot-8, 184-pound speedster has been far more lethal out of the backfield. The proof: Turner has one more rushing attempt (eight) than he has receptions (seven); 56 more rushing yards (89) than receiving yards (33); and both of his scores have come on the ground (against Louisiana in Week 1 and Prairie View last week).
Simply put, anyone who averages 11.1 yards per carry is a threat to go to the house on any play. Don’t forget, too, that because of where he lines up on the field, Turner could score by air, too. And Charlotte’s defense did allow Monmouth’s quarterback to throw four TDs last week.
Place this wager at BetMGM, where Turner’s anytime TD odds are +275. That’s only a 26.67% win probability, but a winning $10 bet would yield $27.50.
🔥 Quinton Jackson to score anytime TD (-115) ⭐

Like Turner, Rice running back Quinton Jackson had rushing scores against Louisiana and Prairie View. Unlike Turner, Jackson is a true running back who leads Rice with 213 rushing yards on 47 carries (one fewer rush than quarterback Chase Jenkins).
Jenkins has also scored twice on the ground this season. However, Jackson has more breakaway speed. And if you believe oddsmakers, he’s got the better chance to score: BetMGM has Jackson priced at -115 to hit pay dirt, versus +150 for Jenkins.
Granted, the payoff isn’t as robust - a $10 wager on Jackson to score at -115 odds would return $8.70. But the probability of Jenkins cashing this ticket (53.49%) is greater than Jenkins (40.00%).
