Old Dominion vs. South Florida Predictions Tonight: 2025 Cure Bowl Odds, Picks & Best Bet

Despite being down their head coach and starting quarterback, I'm backing USF in my Old Dominion vs. South Florida prediction for tonight's Cure Bowl.

With both teams' star quarterbacks out for tonight's Cure Bowl, my Old Dominion vs. South Florida predictions lean toward the program with more talent to compensate for the loss of its offensive engine.

South Florida is a 2.5-point betting favorite for tonight's Cure Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., with kickoff slated for 5 p.m. ET (ESPN). This is the second of 10 college football bowl games this week

Cure Bowl predictions Odds Confidence
South Florida -2.5 -115 (FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Keshaun Singleton anytime TD +230  (FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

South Florida -2.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite South Florida being without head coach Alex Golesh and QB Byrum Brown, the Bulls are still the better team. USF has one of the most loaded rosters in the Group of Six, with several NFL-level talents on its defense.

❗️ Both teams without star QBs

Both South Florida and Old Dominion are down their star quarterbacks for this matchup. South Florida's Byrum Brown opted out of the game, and Old Dominion's Colton Joseph entered the transfer portal. Brown and Joseph were among the best QBs in the Group of Six this season. The Bulls are also without head coach Alex Golesh, who was hired by Auburn.

With Ricky Rahne's team losing Colton Joseph to the transfer portal, ODU's forced to start redshirt freshman Quinn Henicle. Meanwhile, South Florida is starting Tennessee transfer Gaston Moore. Neither has much experience, but Moore has higher-end playmakers to lean on.

It doesn't hurt that USF is playing in its home state either.

Score prediction: South Florida 27, Old Dominion 23

Keshaun Singleton, WR, South Florida: Anytime TD (+230) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With both Joseph and Brown not taking the field in the Cure Bowl, the most dangerous offensive weapon suiting up is Keshaun Singleton. South Florida's leading receiver (877 yards) will likely be heavily featured against a secondary dealing with injury issues.

Singleton has been on a tear in the back half of the season, with 21 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns over his last five games. The 6-foot-3 junior is a big-play threat with his YAC ability - he's top 10 in the G6 in forced missed tackles among receivers (17).

One of my favorite G6 players to bet on, Singleton's going to develop into a star next year under the tutelage of Brian Hartline, South Florida's new head coach. But he has a chance to create plenty of buzz heading into the offseason with a big Cure Bowl performance.
