Best Oklahoma vs. Texas Player Prop Bets Today: Sooners to Limit Arch Manning

Last Updated: October 11, 2025 9:56 AM EDT • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link

The second Saturday in October is here, which means the Red River Rivalry is set to take place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas (3:30 p.m., ABC) today. The betting line has moved in Oklahoma’s favor with the positive outlook that quarterback John Mateer would play in his first game after recovering from hand surgery, and that is factored into my best Oklahoma vs. Texas player prop bets.
Along with a play on Mateer, my college football picks do not look as favorably on struggling Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, especially when facing his toughest opponent of the season. Read on to find out how I round out the rest of my college football predictions for Week 7.

💰 Best Oklahoma vs. Texas player prop picks
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬇️ Arch Manning Under 206.5 passing yards (-117) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Arch Manning comes in bruised and battered after last week’s loss to Florida. The Gators pressured Manning on a season-high 24 of 43 dropbacks, while hitting him 10 times, sacking him six times, and forcing two interceptions.
Manning now has the same number of big-time throws as turnover-worthy plays (10), and that should have head coach Steve Sarkisian taking the ball out of his hands more and leaning on the ground game. After all, Manning’s five interceptions through five games are the most by a Texas quarterback through five team games since 2020.
Though we are paying up slightly for these -117 odds at a 53.92% implied probability at Caesars, this is a slightly better number than the 205.5 yards on the low end of the market at competing sportsbooks. If Manning throws for 206 or fewer yards, my $10 winning wager would net $8.55 in profits.

⬇️ Parker Livingstone Under 30.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
Parker Livingstone is Texas’ most consistent big-play wide receiver. He has a team-best 21.5 yards per catch average among those with three or more receptions, and leads the team in receiving yards (279) despite ranking third in catches.
My biggest reason for backing this Under as one of my best Oklahoma vs. Texas player prop picks is that Oklahoma’s elite pressure will make it difficult for Livingstone to get open downfield. The Sooners rank in the top five nationally in both pressure rate (41.9%) and sack rate (13.5%). They are also not susceptible to long drives, ranking first in FBS in third-down conversion rate allowed (17.4%).
Livingstone has gone over this projected total in four of five games this season, but a $10 winning wager at these 53.27% implied odds if he stays under 31 receiving yards would return $8.77 in profits.
🔥 John Mateer anytime touchdown scorer (+150) ⭐⭐
John Mateer at one point vaulted to the top of the Heisman Trophy odds leaderboard, in large part because of his dual-threat ability that saw him rush for five touchdowns in his first four games. Given the duress he should be under this week, I expect Mateer to again use his legs to cross the goal line once more. Our Phillip Wood also loves Mateer to score in his Oklahoma vs. Texas anytime touchdown predictions.
Oklahoma’s starting left tackle and center were injured in the season opener, and right tackle Logan Howland is listed as doubtful for this week. That is concerning when facing a Texas defense that ranks 27th in pressure rate generated. It also would be wise to use Mateer’s legs on the perimeter, as the Longhorns' defensive line ranks in the top 10 in stuff rate.
There is a lot of value with BetMGM’s +150 anytime touchdown odds, as Mateer has as short as +100 odds with a 50% implied probability to score at the opposite end of the market. If Mateer does score his sixth rushing touchdown of the season, my $10 winning wager at BetMGM would net $15 in profits. Our
Our Rob Paul's also counting on a Mateer touchdown with his Oklahoma vs. Texas prediction.
