⬇️ Jam Miller player prop: Under 39.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Alabama’s starting running back, Jam Miller, simply doesn’t have it. The senior is averaging 3.6 yards per rush attempt and has been held to fewer than three yards per carry four times this year, including his last three games. Those didn’t even come against the SEC’s best rushing defenses, either - they came against run-of-the-mill units.

Miller now takes on an Oklahoma defensive front that excels at stopping the run. Oklahoma ranks second in line yards per rush attempt, first in yards allowed per rush attempt, and second in rushing yards allowed per game. With Miller unable to do much on his own after the line of scrimmage, Alabama will have to look elsewhere.

Let’s fade Miller by buying him to stay Under 39.5 rushing yards for -114 (53.3% implied probability) at FanDuel. Most of the best sports betting sites aren’t even taking action on his props after Daniel Hill outperformed him versus LSU last week, so this may be our last chance to fade Miller. 

⬆️ John Mateer player prop: Over 34.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

One thing that stands out when watching Mateer’s tape is his ability to turn nothing into something, especially with his legs. Mateer has 306 rushing yards on the season, good for 38.3 per game, so he can cash this prop even with a below-average showing. That said, Alabama’s defense has looked vulnerable to mobile quarterbacks, so an above-average game may be in the cards.

Mobile quarterbacks who have gone over this line versus Alabama include LaNorris Sellers (67), Diego Pavia (58), and Tommy Castellanos (78). While Mateer doesn’t run quite as often as those players, he won’t need to do so for us to make a profit on this market.

Sacks are always a concern with college football quarterback rushing props. Fortunately, Alabama’s defense ranks only 60th in sacks per game (two). I like Mateer for a solid day on the ground as he tries to will the Sooners to a victory - and to keep them in the College Football Playoff race. 🔥 Ryan Williams TD pick: Anytime TD scorer (+177) ⭐⭐⭐

Oklahoma limited Ryan Williams to just two receptions last year, but he should bounce back against its pass-funnel defense on Saturday. Alabama won’t be able to lean on the rushing attack, especially near the goal line, which should increase the volume of red-zone targets going Williams’ way on Saturday evening.

While it’s been a down season for Williams - he has found the end zone just four times, and in only three games - we’re getting a great price for a player who scored 10 times in seven games last year, including multiple rushing scores.
