I'm offering the best North Texas vs. Tulane player props for the American Conference Championship, with a spot in the College Football Playoff likely on the line. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET on Friday at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans (ABC), with No. 24 North Texas favored by 2.5 over No. 20 Tulane.

Can Tulane slow down North Texas’ passing attack? And will the Green Wave take advantage of the American Conference’s worst-ranked rush defense? I'm breaking that down as part of our college football conference championship predictions

Wyatt Young player prop: Over 103.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Young has racked up 1,203 receiving yards with the nation’s second-most productive passing attack. While he started the season slow, with fewer than 100 yards in six consecutive games, he’s compiled at least 102 yards in four of his last five.

Young has at least five receptions in seven consecutive games, and he’s averaging 19.4 yards per catch. Tulane is allowing 251.9 passing yards per game, the fourth-most in the American. The only thing preventing this from being a five-star play is that Tulane is allowing just 11.0 yards per reception, which ranks 38th-best in the nation.

FanDuel’s price of -114 implies a 53.27% chance that this Over hits. A $10 bet would profit $8.77.

Jake Retzlaff player prop: Over 33.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Retzlaff enters this matchup rushing for fewer than 10 yards in three consecutive games. This comes after he managed at least 20 yards in each of his first nine contests. He’s topped 33.5 rushing yards in seven games this season, and he’s about to face the worst rush defense in the American.

North Texas is allowing 207.9 yards per game. They’re giving up 4.9 yards per carry, which is great news for Retzlaff, who is averaging 5.4 yards per attempt this season. Retzlaff is second on the team in rushing attempts, but he’s still carried the ball at least seven times in nine games, and he leads Tulane with 561 rush yards.

FanDuel’s price of -114 implies a 53.27% chance that Retzlaff hits this Over. A $10 bet would pay $8.77.

A couple of Overs from player props should help the total along, which will suit our college football best bets this week.

Best North Texas vs. Tulane touchdown scorer bet

Javin Gordon TD pick: Score a touchdown (+150) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gordon has only scored six touchdowns this season, and three of those scores came in the same game. While Retzlaff has 14 rushing touchdowns, Gordon is the clear No. 1 running back. He has 62 more carries than any other Tulane player at the position, and no other back has more than two rushing touchdowns.

As already discussed, the North Texas rush defense is the worst in the American. With the pass defense allowing just 15 touchdowns and the rush defense allowing 20, most of Tulane’s scoring will likely be on the ground. This is the norm for the Green Wave, as they have 23 rushing touchdowns and just 17 passing.

The price discrepancy between the best sports betting sites is massive. Bet365 offers -140, which is significantly worse than the +150 FanDuel is offering. FanDuel’s price implies a 40% chance Gordon scores. A $10 bet would profit $15.

I'm expecting plenty of points in this matchup, targeting the Over as part of my North Texas vs. Tulane prediction.
