North Texas vs. Tulane Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: American Conference Championship
Last Updated: December 5, 2025 11:00 AM EST • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link
My North Texas vs. Tulane anytime touchdown scorer predictions offer my three best wagers on what's projected to be the highest-scoring game of all the conference championships, with an O/U of 66.5. North Texas is the 2.5-point road betting favorite in this contest, which kicks off on Friday night from Yulman Stadium in New Orleans at 8 p.m. ET (ABC).
My college football conference championship predictions expect Mean Green running back Caleb Hawkins to continue his touchdown-scoring spree. I also take a flier on the team’s tight end to score a touchdown, given quarterback Drew Mestemaker has an O/U of 2.5 passing touchdowns.

Caleb Hawkins, RB, North Texas (2+ TDs, +110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Caleb Hawkins was held without a touchdown in three of his first six games. Since then, he has been on a touchdown-scoring bonanza, with 16 rushing touchdowns over his last four. And before that, he did not find the end zone with any of his 13 carries against Charlotte but did show off his versatility with two receiving touchdowns among his four catches.
Hawkins has multiple touchdowns in seven of 11 games this year, which makes his +110 odds at a 47.62% implied probability at DraftKings to score two or more touchdowns a steal.
If he does score at least twice, my $10 winning wager would net $11 in profits.
Jamauri McClure, RB, Tulane (+135) ⭐⭐⭐
Jamauri McClure has the shortest anytime touchdown odds of any Green Wave player outside of quarterback Jake Retzlaff. That is telling, considering he ranks fourth on the team in carries and only has one rushing touchdown this year.
McClure saw just eight total carries through the first five games. But he has been given double-digit carries in each of the last three, as the coaching staff recognized his explosiveness with a team-best 7.3 yards per carry average.
McClure has paid off that extra work with 94 or more rushing yards in two of the last three games, and he should be given plenty more opportunities again in what should turn into a shootout. I also expect Tulane to run more than usual to keep North Texas’ offense off the field and to protect Retzlaff, who has 17 turnover-worthy plays this season.
McClure’s anytime touchdown odds are as low as +129 on the opposite end of the market. I am taking advantage of the best return at FanDuel, whose +135 odds would net $13.50 in profits if McClure scores for the second time this season.
Meanwhile, our Philip Wood likes Javin Gordon's chances of hitting pay dirt out of the Tulane backfield in his North Texas vs. Tulane player props.
Tre Williams, TE, North Texas (+200) ⭐⭐
If one is going to take a flier on an anytime touchdown scorer in this game, you could do worse than backing a Mean Green player.
North Texas has scored 30-plus points in every game and 45 or more in seven of 12. It entered its last game against Temple ranked in the top six in the country in standard down PPA/Play, standard down Success Rate, and standard down rate. It was also 17th in standard down explosiveness.
Tre Williams is one of three Mean Green players with four or more receiving touchdowns. Two of his four scores came in either the team’s only loss or its lone win by fewer than seven points. Thus, if this game is as close as oddsmakers project, perhaps Williams will become more involved in the offense than he already is.
FanDuel’s +200 price carries a one-in-three implied probability and would net $20 in profits on a winning $10 wager.
