North Carolina vs. Syracuse Player Prop Bets: Best Player Props & TD Picks for Week 10

Not long ago, Syracuse, N.Y., was named one of the best cities in America for ghosts, so it's fitting that Bill Belichick's ghost will be coaching there tonight. However, despite this ghastly Halloween showdown in the ACC, my North Carolina vs. Syracuse player prop bets have found value in a game that should be hair-raising due to the lack of talent taking the field.
As part of my college football Week 10 predictions, I'm backing a pair of wide receivers to haunt the opposing secondaries for tonight's game at 7:30 p.m. ET from JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The Orange are a 2.5-point betting favorite at home.

💰 Best North Carolina vs. Syracuse player props
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Jordan Shipp player prop: Over 50.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Though North Carolina's offense lacks explosive plays, go-to wide receiver Jordan Shipp has a chance to bury Syracuse's secondary in a graveyard. The Orange have been terrifyingly bad at stopping the pass this season, allowing the seventh-most passing yards per game in the country (273.9) and ranking No. 97 in EPA per pass on defense.
While the Tar Heels' QB Gio Lopez has been more trick than treat at times, he's been as efficient as Frankenstein creating his monster against lesser opponents. And that monster has been Shipp, who leads North Carolina in targets by a large margin with 39, and is the only Tar Heel with over 200 yards receiving; he has 320.
With a secondary as prone to accidents as a mummy at a seance, Syracuse will have a hard time keeping Shipp Under 51 yards. The sophomore has topped this number three times this season and is coming off a 67-yard performance against a ranked Virginia team. If he goes Over 50.5 receiving yards again, a $10 bet pays an $8.77 profit.
⬇️ Yasin Willis player prop: Under 55.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Syracuse wants to air it out as badly as Dracula wants to suck blood, and that shouldn't change against a North Carolina defense that can actually be scary when it comes to stopping the run. Don't forget, Belichick is a mad scientist when it comes to defense, and he used to be the Grim Reaper of the NFL, ending offenses' lives every Sunday.
With son Steve playing the role of Igor, the Belichicks have stitched together a fairly strong run defense made up of spare parts they found in the transfer portal. The Tar Heels rank top 25 in EPA per rush on defense and allow the 20th-fewest rushing yards per game in the Power Four (110.6).
With Yasin Willis averaging just 49 rushing yards per game since starting QB Steve Angeli was lost for the season, don't expect him to shapeshift into a dynamic threat tonight. Willis has gone Under 55.5 rushing yards in three of his last six. If UNC can attack him like a werewolf hunting its prey, and keep him below 56 rushing yards, a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.
6️⃣ Best touchdown scorer prediction for North Carolina vs. Syracuse
🔥 Johntay Cook to score a touchdown (+160) ⭐⭐⭐
My player prop in my North Carolina vs. Syracuse prediction pairs as perfectly with my TD pick as chocolate pairs with peanut butter. I have Johntay Cook going Over 54.5 receiving yards against the Tar Heels, with him putting up at least 55 receiving yards in four of his last five games.
And with North Carolina's defense sitting just No. 72 in EPA pass and allowing 10 TD passes in five Power Four games, Cook is primed to hit the Monster Mash in the end zone tonight, too. The Texas transfer has just two TDs this season, but leads the Orange in targets (57), receptions (40), and yards from scrimmage (519).
Cook, a former blue-chip recruit, should be the focal point for Fran Brown's team tonight and could be the Boogeyman that keeps Tar Heels fans up at night if they lose another game. If he can put a hex on this UNC secondary and score six, a $10 bet pays a $16 profit.
