📺 What to watch in Week 8: Best games in every time slot

Track the latest college football scores for line movement and matchup info.

🆚 No. 10 LSU vs. No. 17 Vanderbilt (noon ET, ABC)

There's a lot on the line for both these teams when they take the field in Nashville. For LSU head coach Brian Kelly, a loss could mean his seat getting hot, and for Vanderbilt, it could kill the momentum of Diego Pavia's final season in college football. Seeing Pavia against this loaded Tigers defense should be a treat, while Garrett Nussmeier needs to prove he's the guy that was once the Heisman Trophy odds favorite.

Best bet: Garrett Nussmeier Over 1.5 TD passes (+100 via BetMGM)

🆚 No. 5 Ole Miss vs. No. 9 Georgia (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC)

This is the only top 10 matchup on the slate Saturday, and it should have a massive impact on the College Football Playoff race. Lane Kiffin's offense vs. Kirby Smart's defense is always a treat, and this is the first true test for Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss. Georgia's defense hasn't been as impressive this season either, so seeing if CJ Allen and Co. can step up in a big spot will be key to the Bulldogs making a CFP run.

Our Phil Wood projects a tight game between these two SEC programs in his Ole Miss vs. Georgia prediction

Best bet: Ole Miss +7 (-105 via BetMGM)

🆚 No. 11 Tennessee vs. No. 6 Alabama (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC)

Week 8's evening window is so loaded, it's the type of slate that you have no choice but to set up at least three screens for, and at the very least a quad box. Choosing just one of the three top 25 matchups to watch isn't easy, but if you're down bad, then it's gotta be Tennessee vs. Alabama. These are two of the best offenses in the country, with Crimson Tide QB Ty Simpson looking to pull away in the Heisman race with a big outing and win over Josh Heupel's program.

Our Mike Spector sees this game being full of points, and he highlights why in his Tennessee vs. Alabama prediction.

Best bet: Ty Simpson Over 2.5 passing TDs (-105 via BetMGM)

🆚 Florida State vs. Stanford (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)

For as fun as Week 8 should be, the after-dark schedule isn't overly interesting. Still, it's a chance for Florida State to get right after three straight losses ... and if they lose to Frank Reich's lowly Stanford squad, it seems unlikely that Mike Norvell will be on that plane back to Tallahassee. Another reason to watch? Points are always fun, and neither of these teams plays stingy defense. So sit back and enjoy Tommy Castellanos running around like a madman.

In his Florida State vs. Stanford prediction, our Mike Spector breaks down why Florida State should cover in a high-scoring effort.

Best bet: Over 54 (-110 via Caesars)
