๐Ÿ’ฐ College football odds & expert picks: Saturday

Latest college football odds updated in real time for every game.

๐Ÿ“Š Oklahoma State vs. Arizona odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 3 p.m. ET
  • Location: Arizona Stadium (Tucson, Ariz.)
  • How to watch: TNT, truTV, HBO Max

๐Ÿ”ฎ Oklahoma State vs. Arizona prediction

🤠 Oklahoma State +20.5 (-110)

Noah Fifita and Arizona will score plenty, but Oklahoma State is a tougher opponent than the first two teams the Wildcats blew out. Zane Flores and Trent Howland will build off last weekโ€™s performance by doing enough offensively to keep Oklahoma State within three scores.

๐Ÿ“Š Vanderbilt vs. Alabama odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
  • How to watch: ABC

๐Ÿ”ฎ Vanderbilt vs. Alabama prediction

💰️ Vanderbilt +11.5 (-110)

Alabama deserves a lot of respect, especially with Ty Simpson ranked 13th nationally in passing efficiency (173.1) and second in the SEC. The problem, unlike with Vanderbilt, is in the defensive trenches. Alabama will be without multiple key defensive linemen. The unit was already average while allowing 2.8 defensive line yards per rush. So this game could get ugly, especially since the whole defense is fourth-worst in the conference in explosive plays permitted.

๐Ÿ“Š Texas vs. Florida odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Gainesville, Fla.)
  • How to watch: ESPN

๐Ÿ”ฎ Texas vs. Florida prediction

⬇️ Under 43.5 (-110)

While these two teams are led by two former five-star QBs that entered the season as Heisman contenders, neither has lived up to the hype. Instead, these two teams have been carried by their defenses this season, and their combined record of 7-1 betting the Under really highlights that. With the Longhorns having a top-five defense by SP+, and Florida's defense allowing just 21.3 points per game against ranked opponents this season, expect these two QBs to take their lumps again.

๐Ÿ“Š Penn State vs. UCLA odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Rose Bowl (Pasadena, Calif.)
  • How to watch: CBS

๐Ÿ”ฎ Penn Sate vs. UCLA prediction

🦁 Penn State -24.5 (-105)

PSU is averaging 180.0 rushing yards per game, while UCLA allows 232.8. The Nittany Lions will likely dominate time of possession, and the Bruins will struggle to score against a defense that has allowed only one touchdown in its first three games.

๐Ÿ“Š Boise State vs. Notre Dame odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Notre Dame Stadium (Notre Dame, Ind.)
  • How to watch: NBC

๐Ÿ”ฎ Boise State vs. Notre Dame prediction

🐎 Boise State +20.5 (-110)

The Fighting Irish masked their defensive injuries by jumping out to a big early lead last week, but they're still without two of their best players in the secondary and one of their best pass-rushers. I expect that to catch up with Notre Dame this week when it faces a Broncos team that quietly has a 7.6% chance to make the playoff.

๐Ÿ“Š Texas Tech vs. Houston odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
  • Location: TDECU Stadium (Houston)
  • How to watch: ESPN

๐Ÿ”ฎ Texas Tech vs. Houston prediction

🏴‍☠️ Texas Tech -10.5

Not only has Texas Tech covered all four of its games this year by an average of 8.8 points, it is 5-0 ATS in its last five conference road games and covered six of its last seven when at a rest advantage over its opponent since 2022.

- via Mike Spector's Texas Tech vs. Houston prediction

๐Ÿ“Š Miami vs. Florida State odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Doak Campbell Stadium (Tallahassee, Fla.)
  • How to watch: ABC

๐Ÿ”ฎ Miami vs. Florida prediction

🪓 Florida State +4.5 (-108)

This is a strength vs. strength matchup pitting the elite running ability of Seminoles quarterback Thomas Castellanos against a Hurricanes defense that has allowed 10 net rushing yards to quarterbacks through the first four games. I give the edge to Florida State in that regard, given that it ranks first nationally in Line Yards, while Miami has missed 32 tackles in its last two games.

- via Mike Spector's Miami vs. Florida prediction

๐Ÿ“Š Minnesota vs. Ohio State odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Ohio Stadium (Columbus, Ohio)
  • How to watch: NBC

๐Ÿ”ฎ Minnesota vs. Ohio State prediction

🔴 Under 43.5 (-110)

The Buckeyes are loaded with blue-chip talent on offense, but they're bringing Sayin along slowly and still figuring out their run game with freshman Bo Jackson beginning to separate himself as the top back. So a huge blowout seems unlikely, especially with the Gophers having one of the top defenses in the Big Ten.

- via Rob Paul's Minnesota vs. Ohio State prediction

๐Ÿ“Š Colorado vs. TCU odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Amon G. Carter Stadium (Fort Worth, Texas)
  • How to watch: FOX

๐Ÿ”ฎ Colorado vs. TCU prediction

⬇️ Under 57.5 (-110)

Though TCUโ€™s scoring average of 35.7 PPG will be a threat to this game total, the strengths of the Horned Frog offense (11th nationally in passing yards per game) may not be maximized against a Colorado defense that has been able to manage a top 50 pass defense.

- via Brenden Schaeffer's Colorado vs. TCU prediction

๐Ÿ“Š Duke vs. California odds

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 4
  • Kickoff: 10:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: California Memorial Stadium (Berkeley, Calif.)
  • How to watch: ESPN

🐻 California +3 (-115)

Although Duke is probably the better team, itโ€™s close. The Blue Devils rank 52nd in the Fremeau Efficiency Index (FEI), outpacing 67th-ranked Cal. Dukeโ€™s offense, which ranks 48th in the FEI, has been its biggest asset, but Calโ€™s defense, which ranks 39th, should be able to answer. Calโ€™s 93rd-ranked offense raises some serious red flags, especially against Dukeโ€™s reasonably solid 56th-ranked defense. Still, I trust the young quarterback with Duke also ranked 116th in yards allowed per pass attempt (8.8).
