Though this is a quieter week in terms of major matchups ahead of a massive rivalry week beginning on Black Friday, my college football player props for Week 13 still target the 16 biggest games on the slate.

As part of our college football Week 13 predictions, my favorite player props include backing the new Bo Jackson to run wild, fading Oklahoma QB John Mateer in another ranked matchup, and betting on Texas' Arch Manning to bounce back against a brutal defense.

💰 Best college football props this week

⬇️ John Mateer Under 231.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First of all, there's absolutely no way Mateer's passing yards line should be this high. And it's not at our other best college football betting sites, making this a must-play at BetMGM, where we're getting 15 additional yards, give or take three to five yards, of breathing room. So why is the Oklahoma QB's passing yards line this high?

Well, the Sooners are among the College Football Playoff odds favorites and are coming off one of the best wins any team has managed this season after taking down Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Thanks to that win and the uncertainty around Missouri's QB situation, the Sooners are a 7.5 to 9.5-point betting favorite, implying that their offense should find success. And it may, but I don't expect it to happen through the air.

The Tigers have one of the best defensive fronts in the SEC, and rank No. 17 in EPA per pass on defense, while Oklahoma ranks just No. 93 in EPA per pass on offense. With pass rushers like Zion Young (33) and Damon Wilson II (38), who both rank top 10 in the SEC in pressures, and a competent back seven led by Josiah Trotter and Toriano Pride Jr., Missouri is allowing the ninth-fewest passing yards per game in the Power Four (169.9).

Couple that with the fact that Mateer just hasn't been the same player since his thumb surgery in September - he averaged 303.8 passing yards per game in four games pre-injury and 174.4 in five games post-injury - and this line is simply too high.

If Mateer goes Under 231.5 passing yards per game for a sixth straight game, a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.
