Though this Saturday's slate lacks massive matchups, there's still a handful of marquee games featuring star players, and my college football player prop bets for Week 10 are focused on some of the can't-miss games.

This week, my favorite player props and college football Week 10 predictions focus on the next first-round wide receiver out of Ohio State, a former five-star QB trying to carry his team amid a coaching change, and two dynamic passers leading top 25 programs.

💰 Best college player props

Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State: Over 68.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ohio State's matchup with Penn State was supposed to be a game between top 10 programs, hence it was the most coveted of FOX's Big Noon Kickoff games coming into the season. Instead, Ohio State is a near three-touchdown favorite, and the Nittany Lions are looking for a new head coach.

With Ryan Day's team taking on his former defensive coordinator, Jim Knowles, who left for Penn State after the two clashed last season, look for the Buckeyes' offense to try and make a statement against the Nittany Lions. Julian Sayin has been the most accurate QB in the country this season, and with secondaries focused on stopping Jeremiah Smith, that should allow for some splash plays from Carnell Tate.

Tate is top 10 in the Big Ten in receiving yards (587) and top 20 in the country in contested catches (10) and yards per route run (3.23). He should lead a Buckeyes offense that ranks third nationally in EPA per pass to a high-scoring day against Knowles.

If Tate goes Over 68.5 receiving yards for the fifth time in seven games, a $10 bet pays an $8.77 profit.

💡 College football expert picks: Week 10

⬇️ Avery Johnson, QB, Kansas State: Under 37.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite Kansas State coming off a much-needed win in the Sunflower Showdown against Kansas, the Wildcats are still just 4-4 and now have to deal with a Texas Tech team that gets QB Behren Morton back. To make matters worse for K-State, the Red Raiders have the best defense in the Big 12 and are built to completely shut down the run.

A big piece of Kansas State's offense during its 3-1 turnaround has been Johnson's legs, with the junior averaging 10.2 carries for 48.2 yards over his last four games. But Texas Tech ranks No. 2 in the nation in EPA per rush and allows the fewest rushing yards per game in the country (68.1). And it doesn't help Johnson's chances with sacks counting against rushing yards in college - the Red Raiders are No. 9 in the country in sacks (26) thanks to David Bailey and Romello Height.

Given how dominant Texas Tech's defense has been this year, Johnson's rushing yards total is set as low as 30.5 at our other best college football betting sites, making this a must play at BetMGM. The Kansas State star has gone Under 37.5 rushing yards in five of seven FBS games this year, and if he does again, a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.

⬆️ DJ Lagway, QB, Florida: Over 240.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nobody's exactly sure what to expect out of Florida in its first game following the firing of Billy Napier, but the stage couldn't be bigger with the Gators taking on Georgia in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. One thing is for sure, though: Florida is going to need DJ Lagway to play up to his ability if the Gators want to give the fans in Jacksonville any reason to stay past the third quarter.

Luckily, despite Florida's down season, has bounced back from a rough start to the season to show glimpses of promise. In his last three games against Texas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State, he's put up two of his four highest QBRs of the season. And against a Georgia defense that's struggled to defend the pass, I expect the Gators to go to the air often.

The Bulldogs have been uncharacteristically poor on defense, ranking No. 94 in EPA per pass, and have been torched against teams with quality QBs - Joey Aguilar, Ty Simpson, and Trinidad Chambliss averaged 303.3 passing yards against Georgia. Meanwhile, Lagway has thrown for Over 240.5 passing yards in all four games against SEC opponents, and if he does again, a $10 bet pays an $8.77 profit.

⬆️ Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss: Over 267.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This time last year, Trinidad Chambliss was a Division II QB at Ferris State, a few months ago he was a transfer expected to sign with Temple, a few weeks ago he was Ole Miss' backup QB, and now he's a Heisman Trophy odds contender. Chambliss has been so good that if he keeps it up, he'll be drafted in April, especially after how impressive he was last week against a top-ranked Oklahoma defense.

Coming off the win against the Sooners, Chambliss should continue to shine against South Carolina in Lane Kiffin's offense, especially with the sheer amount of weapons he has to utilize. The Gamecocks are coming off a heartbreaking blown upset win against Alabama, and sit No. 63 in EPA per pass on defense with a suspetible secondary.

Chambliss is top 10 in the Power Four in big-time throw rate (5.8%) and QBR (86.2), and he's gone Over 267.5 passing yards in four of his last six games. With Chambliss averaging 311.2 passing yards per game in SEC play, he should be able to hit this Over and turn a $10 bet into an $8.77 profit.

⬆️ Devon Dampier, QB, Utah: Over 1.5 passing TDs (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

College GameDay is going to be in Salt Lake City for Utah's top 25 matchup against Cincinnati in this week's edition of Big 12 after dark, and Utes' star QB Devon Dampier is expected to be back after missing last week. The New Mexico transfer will be key to a Utah win against an overachieving Cincinnati team that's biggest weakness is its pass defense.

The Bearcats are ranked just No. 89 in EPA per pass on defense and have allowed the fifth-most passing TDs in the Big 12 this season (11). That includes Scott Satterfield's team giving up eight passing TDs across three games against the best three Big 12 QBs they've faced this season (Rocco Becht, Jalon Daniels, Sawyer Robertson). Cinci's survived because its own QB leads the conference in QBR (Brendan Sorsby, 84.8), but Dampier is No. 2 in (83.8).

With the Bearcats likely to be keyed in on slowing the Utes' dominant ground attack, look for Utah offensive coordinator Jason Beck to take advantage and lean on his QB's arm. Dampier is accurate and efficient, sitting top 15 in the P4 in adjusted completion rate (77%). He's thrown at least two TDs in five of seven games this season, and if he does again, a $10 bet pays a $9.09 profit.
