College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions Week 5: Saturday's Best Odds & Picks

After going 2-2 last week, my college football anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Week 5 focus on Chris Brazzell II (+420) and Ryan Williams (+163).

With conference play well underway, and a loaded slate this Saturday, my college football anytime touchdown scorer predictions target two under-the-radar players and two of the best playmakers in the SEC, with three of the four college football picks coming with plus-money odds.

Last Saturday, my college football anytime touchdown scorer predictions went 2-2, with both picks that cashed being plus-money, so as part of this week's college football predictions for Week 5, I'm taking even bigger calculated swings.

💰 Best Week 5 anytime touchdown scorer bets

Here are my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks based on the best college football odds for Week 5.

🔥 Demond Claiborne, RB, Wake Forest (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Week 5

One of the top running backs in the country plays for a team that's going to be fighting for bowl eligibility in Jake Dickert's first season leading the program. While Wake Forest is a double-digit underdog against Georgia Tech, running back Demond Claiborne should see a steady dose of carries as he looks to impress NFL scouts.

In Claiborne's last two games, he's scored four rushing touchdowns on just 22 carries while forcing eight missed tackles and catching 10 passes. He's rightfully the focal point of Rob Ezell's offense, and can take advantage of a Yellow Jackets defense that's No. 103 in EPA per rush this season and has given up four rushing touchdowns in four games.

Since taking over as Wake Forest's top running back last season, Claiborne has scored a touchdown in nine of 15 games. If he can find the end zone against Georgia Tech, like the last time he played them in 2023, a $10 bet pays a $10 profit.

🔥 Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor (+130) ⭐⭐⭐

College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Week 5
Pictured: Baylor tight end Michael Trigg (1) catches a touchdown pass against Auburn safety Kensley Louidor-Faustin (28). Photo by Chris Jones via Imagn Images.

It's the end of an era in Stillwater after Oklahoma State fired Mike Gundy on Tuesday, following a 19-12 loss to Tulsa in Week 4. The Pokes have been awful the last two seasons, and have given up 52-plus points in three straight games against Power Four opponents. That opens the door for several of Baylor's playmakers to score, and choosing which is all about finding the best value.

While I would love to back Bears star running back Bryson Washington to score, he's -1100 to do so, and -170 to score twice. So betting on one of Sawyer Robertson's top targets is the play, and Michael Trigg's +130 odds, paying a $13 profit on a $10 winning bet, are more enticing than Josh Cameron's (+110).

Trigg has been one of the top tight ends in college football this season, with the Ole Miss transfer ranking No. 1 in the country in targets (31), No. 6 in receiving yards (222), and No. 2 in touchdowns at his position (3). With his usage, and Oklahoma State's defense ranked No. 115 in EPA per pass, Trigg will have every opportunity to score against the Cowboys.

🔥 Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee: 2+ TDs (+420) ⭐⭐⭐

College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Week 5

No wide receiver has been as prone to highlight reel plays this season as Chris Brazzell II, who caught all kinds of NFL attention after repeatedly Mossing Georgia's secondary to the tune of 177 yards and three touchdowns two weeks ago. Though the Volunteers lost, they clearly found Josh Heupel's next superstar playmaker in the process after a quiet first year in Knoxville following his transfer from Tulane last season.

Brazzell has been a dominant force, sitting fifth in the country in receiving yards (426), top 20 in yards per route run (3.98), and first in receiving touchdowns (6). That's why he's as short as -175 to put up six against Mississippi State, implying a 63.64% probability he'll score at least once, but his best odds to score (-140) pay just a $7.14 profit on a $10 winning bet.

However, the top price for him to put up two touchdowns is a ridiculous value, paying a $42 profit on a $10 winning bet at FanDuel - the same prop is as short as +275 at our other best college football betting sites. Brazzell has scored two-plus touchdowns in two of his last three games and should give the Bulldogs' defense some problems, as it's ranked outside the top 40 in EPA per pass.

🔥 Ryan Williams, WR, Alabama (+163) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Week 5
Pictured: Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (2) jukes Wisconsin defensive back Geimere Latimer II (1) as he makes a move that led to a touchdown. Photo by Gary Cosby via Imagn Images.

The biggest win of Kalen DeBoer's tenure at Alabama thus far came last year against Georgia. That victory was powered by then-freshman Ryan Williams, with the former five-star recruit turning into a household name after torching the Bulldogs with 177 yards and a touchdown on six receptions.

While I don't expect quite the same eye-popping outing, I do think the sophomore can find pay dirt again against a Georgia defense that's No. 97 in EPA per pass and gave up 371 passing yards and four passing touchdowns against Tennessee. And given the Bulldogs' inconsistent defensive play, I'm shocked Williams' odds to score are +163, paying a $16.30 profit on a $10 winning bet at bet365.

Those long odds are due in part to Williams and Alabama, struggling in the opener against Florida State. But Williams looked like his old self in his last game against Wisconsin, scoring twice, and he's top 25 in the Power Four in yards per route run (3.25) and YAC per reception (13.1).

This same prop is as short as +115 elsewhere, implying a 46.51% probability that Williams will score.
