Fresh off a dominant performance against FCS Campbell, NC State quarterback CJ Bailey enters this game with a sizeable passing yardage prop total at 242.5. He has cleared that number three times in six starts this season but has done so just once against a Power 4 opponent. He now faces a Notre Dame secondary that has improved significantly since the start of the season, thanks to the better health of key personnel.
A quick look at the rankings may raise some concerns about Notre Dame’s defense, but a deeper dive into recent results resolves them. The Fighting Irish rank a dreadful 103rd in passing yards allowed per game (258), but that dips to 241.7 when looking at just their last three games. They just held Boise State’s Maddux Madsen to 215 passing yards and Arkansas’ Taylen Green to 207.
With Bailey’s passing yardage prop posted well above the totals that Notre Dame has allowed recently, I don’t expect a big game from him in a tricky road environment. Buy Bailey to stay Under 242.5 passing yards for -115 (53.5% implied probability) to score an $8.70 profit on a $10 bet.

Love has gone Over this total in just one of his five appearances thus far. So much has to go right for any player to rack up 100-plus yards that a line like this at +100 (50% implied probability) - where a $10 bet would return a $10 profit - jumps out as an excellent wager. Love needs the perfect combination of efficiency and volume, but I don’t think he gets it this week.
The key reason is that Notre Dame has another capable running back in Jadarian Price. While Price has just 42 carries to Love’s 82, the change-of-pace weapon is averaging 7.4 yards per carry to Love’s 5.4. Price’s presence has limited Love to 16.4 carries per game, limiting his chances to go over such a massive total. Last week, Love got 16 carries to Price’s eight and stayed under the 107.5-yard threshold.
To cash this over on his average workload, Love must average 6.6 yards per carry against a defense that allows just 4.9 yards per rush attempt. I don’t think he gets there. Buy the Under for this fantastic price before it disappears.
⬇️ CJ Carr Under 2.5 passing touchdowns (-210) ⭐
The above two NC State vs. Notre Dame prop bets stand out as sharp options, and I don’t see much value elsewhere on the board. But a bet on CJ Carr to stay Under 2.5 passing touchdowns, either as part of a same-game parlay with the above picks or as a standalone wager, could prove to be a sharp play. This wager will cost you -210 (67.7% implied probability) at BetMGM and would return a $4.76 profit on a $10 bet.
NC State’s defense has struggled to stop the run, especially in the red zone. Duke and Virginia ran for three scores against it, and Wake Forest ran for two. FCS Campbell and Virginia Tech did their scoring through the air, but I suspect we’ll see Notre Dame trust either Love or Price near the goal line instead of the team’s first-year quarterback.
