Washington's Jedd Fisch and Alabama's Kalen DeBoer opened as the favorites by the Michigan next head coach odds, and those two remain the top choices to replace Sherrone Moore after Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham looked like the clear choice to take over in Ann Arbor heading into the weekend, according to the early prediction trading market from Kalshi.
We're breaking down the latest rumors and potential candidates for the job based on the most recent activity in the prediction markets.

Michigan football, fresh off a 9-3 season, was rocked late Wednesday when head coach Sherrone Moore was fired with cause. That leaves a program two years removed from a national championship - led by Jim Harbaugh - without a head coach, and we're late in the coaching cycle with high-power programs LSU and Florida already having filled vacancies.
Kalshi's prediction market has Fisch (37%) and DeBoer (24%) as the clear favorites heading into the weekend, which comes less than 24 hours after Dillingham featured a greater than 50% chance to take the job. He's reportedly staying put after renegotiating the compensation of his recently signed extension.
If Fisch and DeBoer decide to stay put, Vanderbilt's Clark Lea (8%) and Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinatoe Jesse Minter (8%) appear to be the next likeliest candidates to replace Moore at Michigan.
Who's Michigan's interim head coach?
Biff Poggi was named Michigan's interim head coach after rejoining the program this year as the associate head coach. He has an 8-16 overall record as a college football coach, including 2-0 as the interim boss at Michigan this year while coaching the team's third and fourth games during a suspension for Moore.
Poggi has a 5% chance to be hired as Michigan's next permanent head coach, according to Kalshi.
Will Tom Brady coach at Michigan?
Michigan alum and NFL legend Tom Brady has been (jokingly) discussed as a potential candidate to be the Wolverines' next head coach by some on social media. He's listed in Kalshi's market but at less than 1% probability. Brady is currently signed to a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX Sports as an NFL color commentator. He also has no collegiate coaching experience.
Is Michigan playing a bowl game?
Michigan is slated to play Texas in the Citrus Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 31. You can follow everything you need to know about this matchup in our college football bowl game guide and opt-out tracker.
