💰 Best Miami vs. Florida State touchdown scorer bets
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
🔥 Tommy Castellanos to score a first-half touchdown (+270) ⭐⭐⭐
Virginia did everything it could last week to make Seminoles quarterback Tommy Castellanos one-dimensional as a passer, but the dual-threat signal-caller still got loose for 78 rushing yards.
Castellanos is in a category all his own in terms of yards per completion versus yards per scramble, as the only two quarterbacks within two yards per completion and 2.5 yards per scramble are from service academies.
Castellanos has scored four rushing touchdowns, and all have come in the first half of games. Thus, banking on him to score within the first 30 minutes again is a great way to earn more value than his +120 anytime touchdown odds.
The +270 odds at FanDuel carry a 27.03% implied probability and would net $27 in profits on a winning $10 wager.
🔥 CJ Daniels anytime touchdown scorer (+130) ⭐⭐⭐
Miami quarterback Carson Beck threw five times as many touchdowns as interceptions in home games at Georgia last season, while his completion percentage dropped 10 percentage points in road games.
Beck still managed a respectable 3.7:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio away from home, and with the Over on his 1.5 passing touchdowns carrying as high as a 61.24% implied probability, I am banking on one of those scores going to a wideout that leads the team with three receiving touchdowns.
Fellow wide receiver Malachi Toney is Beck’s most-targeted downfield option (28 targets). But the freshman is not as much of a red-zone presence as CJ Daniels, who has cashed in one of every six receptions for a touchdown. There is no reason why Daniels’ +130 odds should be this much lower than Toney’s -110 odds, and I am opting for the better value at DraftKings.
If Daniels scores a touchdown, my $10 wager through DraftKings’ +130 odds would net $13 in profits.
🔥 Mark Fletcher Jr. to score 2+ touchdowns (+320) ⭐⭐
Hurricanes running back Mark Fletcher Jr. had a memorable performance against Florida State last year, running for 71 yards and a touchdown just days after his father passed away unexpectedly.
Fletcher’s role in Miami’s backfield has grown even more since last year, especially after fellow back Jordan Lyle was hurt in the season opener.
I expect Miami to lean heavily on its running game after Florida State surprisingly allowed 211 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in last week’s loss to Virginia. The Cavaliers managed that much success on the ground despite playing without seven of their top 10 offensive linemen, while the Hurricanes possess one of the most talented offensive lines in the country.
There is a sizable difference between the +320 odds at BetMGM and the +270 odds at the other best sports betting sites. The +320 odds at a 23.81% implied probability would return $32 in profits on a winning $10 wager.
