The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders play host to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs with college football's Week 7 kicking off Tuesday night, as we make our best Louisiana Tech-Middle Tennessee prediction based on the best college football odds.

The 35-28 final score of Louisiana Tech's game against Western Kentucky is not indicative of how the contest played out. The Bulldogs trailed 35-7 at halftime, and though they played better in the second half, they were never a threat to win the game.

The Blue Raiders led the Jacksonville State Gamecocks 23-7 at halftime. However, a quarterback change for the Gamecocks was too much for the Blue Raiders to handle, and they lost 45-30.

To accompany the rest of our college football predictions for Week 7, here is our best Louisiana Tech vs. Middle Tennessee prediction and our college football picks (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Louisiana Tech vs. Middle Tennessee prediction: Week 6

Middle Tennessee -3 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐

The Blue Raiders seemed like they were cruising to victory in Week 6. However, their defense was not prepared for Zion Webb to take over in the second half. The dual-threat quarterback was too much for the Blue Raiders, as they were unable to adjust to him.

The good news for the Blue Raiders is the Bulldogs have no such running threat at quarterback. Jack Turner has run for just 46 yards on 26 attempts this season. And Turner isn’t much better at throwing the ball. He’s completed just 57.5% of his passes, and he has as many interceptions as touchdowns this year.

It’s still hard to be confident in the Blue Raiders. However, last week’s four turnovers overshadowed a 563-yard offensive performance. This is a team that has consistently found ways to lose games, yet its stats aren’t terrible. Plus, oddsmakers still have it favored on Tuesday even after a 15-point home loss. That says a lot.

The Blue Raiders’ defensive game plan was perfect for who they thought they were going to face last week. This week, their two-headed backfield of Jaiden Credle and Frank Peasant should run all over a defense allowing 212.3 rushing yards per game. Don’t be fooled by the final score of the games these two teams played last week. The Blue Raiders are the better team taking the field on Tuesday.

Louisiana Tech vs. Middle Tennessee odds analysis

The Blue Raiders opened as 3-point favorites and that is where the line has stayed. Roughly 56% of wagers back the Bulldogs. With neither one of these teams proving reliable so far this season, it’s hard to know which direction the spread will move off the key number if it moves at all.

The total opened at 54.5, and it has not moved. At the moment, 54% of wagers back the Under in this game. Neither team has been consistent on either side of the football, but if we had to guess, this number will likely move down rather than up.
