💵 Best Indiana vs. Purdue player prop bets

  • Antonio Harris player prop: Under 37.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

💰 Best Indiana vs. Purdue player props

⬇️  Antonio Harris player prop: Under 37.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Running back Antonio Harris will struggle to generate anything against the electric Indiana defensive front. Although the Hoosiers rank only 17th in yards allowed per rush attempt (3.3), they lead the Big Ten in line yards per rush (2.2).

Harris took over the starting job following the injury to Devin Mockobee, but even with double-digit carries, he has struggled to do much against Big Ten opponents. He is coming off a 23-yard game versus Washington in which he averaged just 2.3 yards per attempt.

I trust the Indiana defense to bring Harris down quickly on Friday – and, if the game goes as the 27.5-point spread suggests, the Boilermakers won’t be running the back for very long.

⬇️  Fernando Mendoza player prop: Under 256.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza may be in the Heisman race, but I expect head coach Curt Cignetti to take things carefully with his starting signal-caller with the playoffs around the corner. If the Hoosiers get out to a big lead early, don’t be surprised if Mendoza makes an early exit.

Playing volume is the key to this bet. Purdue ranks 134th in yards allowed per pass attempt (9.6). Despite this, the Boilermakers are 108th in passing yards allowed per game (250.5), mainly because their opponents can beat them on the ground – they’re also 97th in rushing yards allowed per game (175).

Let’s hope Cignetti and the Hoosiers start hot and can afford to give their star quarterback some rest after a few quarters. Lock in the Under 256.5 for -115 (53.5%) at BetMGM.

6️⃣ Best Indiana vs. Purdue touchdown scorer bet

🔥 Kaelon Black TD pick: anytime TD scorer (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let’s back Indiana’s second running back, Kaelon Black, to find pay dirt on Black Friday. His partner in the backfield, Roman Hemby, may be out-carrying him 151 to 114, but both players have the same number of touchdowns (5), and Hemby is a pricy -190 (65.5%) while Black is -110 (52.4%).

Black has been exceptionally efficient, averaging 5.8 yards per rushing attempt. He found paydirt in two of his last three games, including the blowout win over Maryland. He also found paydirt in the blowouts versus Illinois and Michigan State. I expect more of the same from him in this matchup.
