It’s an SEC clash down in the Bayou, and I’m coming in hot with my best Florida vs. LSU player props for Saturday’s prime-time battle as part of our college football predictions for Week 3.

With Florida coming off a stunning upset loss to South Florida, it’s no surprise that the third-ranked Tigers are a consensus 7.5-point betting favorite for this matchup at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC).

⬇️ Jadan Baugh Under 76.5 rushing yards (-118) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s too early in the season to make absolute declarations, but LSU just might have the best front seven in the country. The early stats suggest as much: The Tigers held their first two opponents - Clemson and Louisiana Tech - to a combined 89 rushing yards on 47 carries. That’s a paltry 1.89 yards per rush.

I get it: Florida running back Jadan Baugh is a stud (197 yards on just 27 carries). He also needed just six carries to rack up 65 yards against LSU last year. But this is a different Tigers defense, and this time, Baugh will be playing in the Tigers’ den. Frankly, I’ll be shocked if he tops 60 rushing yards.

Bet this prop at Caesars, where Baugh’s rushing projection is 1 yard higher than the rest of the market. The -118 odds equate to a 54.13% win probability. A $10 wager would pay $8.77.

⬆️ DJ Lagway Over 208.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

I don’t expect Florida to have much success on the ground Saturday. However, Gators quarterback DJ Lagway should be able to move the ball a bit through the air. It might not happen early; in fact, I expect LSU to come out and dominate physically as it looks to atone for last year’s 27-16 upset loss at Florida.

If that prediction proves to be accurate, Lagway should have plenty of second-half opportunities to exploit soft coverages and pad the stat sheet, particularly in garbage time. Lagway was decent in last week’s loss to South Florida, throwing for 222 yards and a score. Also, the then-freshman was very efficient against LSU last year, turning just 13 completions into 226 yards.

Tail this bet at FanDuel, as its -114 odds are lowest in the market. The implied win probability is 53.27%, and risking $10 can bring back $8.77.

⬆️ Aaron Anderson Over 69.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Of the 54 passes that LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has completed this season, exactly half have been hauled in by two players: wideouts Barion Brown (13 receptions) and Aaron Anderson (14). Anderson has done more damage, though, as he compiled 99 receiving yards in the Tigers’ season-opening upset of Clemson and another 73 yards in last week’s victory over Louisiana Tech.

That’s right: Anderson beat this player prop number in both games - just as he did in seven of his final 11 contests in 2024. What about Florida’s defense? It surrendered 263 passing yards to South Florida last week, with Bulls wideout Keshaun Singleton racking up 75 yards on just two catches.

Anderson’s receiving yards prop is the same across the market, but once again FanDuel has slightly less juice (-114). That’s an implied win probability of 53.27% and a potential payout of $8.77 on a $10 bet.

How do college football player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more college football odds markets.
