My best Colorado vs. TCU player props today lock in on Josh Hoover, Kaidon Salter, and Micah Welch ahead of Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. ET (FOX) game at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU is the 13.5-point favorite, and our Brenden Schaeffer breaks down the game lines with his Colorado vs. TCU prediction as part of our college football predictions for Week 6.
Overs may seem like the way to go given the explosiveness of TCU's offense, but Hoover struggling is one of my best college football picks for the week. Can Salter and Welch keep Colorado in this game?

💰 Best Colorado vs. TCU player prop picks
Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬇️ Josh Hoover Under 2.5 passing touchdowns (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hoover has logged 11 touchdown passes this year, but he threw zero last week against Arizona State. He’s now thrown two or fewer touchdown passes in two games while only topping that number against one FBS opponent.
Colorado is allowing 22.8 points per game, which ranks 63rd in the country. However, the Buffaloes have been good at keeping opponents out of the end zone through the air, giving up just 1.0 passing touchdowns per outing. Arizona State, which Hoover faced last week, allowed a similar number of points per game. But the Sun Devils gave up 1.6 passing touchdowns per contest, and Hoover endured his worst game of the year against them.
The odds of -120 at BetMGM suggest a 54.55% chance that Hoover throws fewer than 2.5 touchdown passes. A $10 bet would pay $8.33.
⬇️ Micah Welch Under 51.5 rushing yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Welch is averaging 5.3 yards per carry after running for 67 yards in consecutive games. He’s now topped 60 yards in three of his five matchups. However, going Under this total is one of the best Colorado vs. TCU player props.
TCU is allowing just 3.6 yards per carry this year. Welch won’t get enough attempts to hit this Over, as he’s rushed 11 times or fewer in every game this season. And he’s recorded seven carries or fewer in three games.
This team's offense runs through Kaidon Salter, as he's averaging over 12 carries per game and 22 passing attempts. Welch will struggle to get touches, and against a stout run defense, he won’t go Over this number unless the tailback breaks a huge run.
A $10 bet at Caesars would pay $8.85. The -113 odds imply a 53.05% chance Welch hits this Under.
⬇️ Kaidon Salter Under 182.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
TCU is allowing 257.3 passing yards per game. The Horned Frogs are also the 13.5-point favorites, so this should be a great matchup for Salter. However, Salter has thrown for 159 yards or fewer in three of his four games.
Salter has only logged 10 more completions (59) than rushing attempts (49) this year. He averaged just 6.3 yards per pass attempt during the three games when the signal-caller threw for 159 or fewer yards. He may improve slightly against a TCU defense permitting 8.1 yards per attempt, but this isn’t the mismatch it looks like on paper. And Salter also ran more than he passed in last week’s loss.
The best price available for this prop is -114 through FanDuel. The odds imply a 53.27% chance the Under hits. A $10 bet would pay $8.77.
