Another week cashing two of our top-three Over/Under bets makes 10 winners out of 12. Let’s try to make it another week in the black.
Below, we look at the Over/Under bets of college football Week 12 (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook).
Top Over/Under Bets of College Football Week 12

- Boston College-Notre Dame Over 45 (-110 via DraftKings)
- Texas Tech-Iowa State Under 48 (-115 via DraftKings)
Top Over/Under Week 12 Predictions
Houston-ECU Over 66.5 (-110) ★★★★
Houston football has been the most profitable team in FBS for Over bettors so far this season, with games involving the Cougars coming in at 9-1 on Overs on the campaign. Houston’s combination of a defensive efficiency outside the top 100 and a top-40 offense has made for a number of shootouts this season, including a recent 77-63 loss to SMU.
Houston is averaging 37.4 points per game and has gotten more potent as the season has gone on, averaging 49.3 points over its last three outings. This week, Houston takes on an ECU team that has trended toward lower-scoring totals of late. ECU games have cleared this point total only twice all season, and not at all in the past three weeks.
But this matchup is extremely juicy for the Pirates. East Carolina averages 294.3 passing yards per game (14th in FBS). Only six teams allow more passing yards per game than the 291.6 being coughed up by Houston on a weekly basis. Though ECU’s scoring average (29.9 ppg) is lower than Houston, the Pirates are favored at home with an implied team total around 36.5 this week. Given that Houston ranks 121st in scoring defense at 36.2 points per game, I like ECU to push this total with its adept passing game.
Boston College-Notre Dame Over 45 (-115) ★★★★
The comically low total for last week’s game between Notre Dame and Navy only trended downward throughout the week leading up to the Irish’s 35-32 victory. The total in the low 40s never made any sense given Notre Dame’s recent offensive renaissance, so we told you to slam the Over.
This week, we’re back again touting the Irish offense in a total that they could conceivably clear on their own. Notre Dame has scored more than 35 points in each of its last four games, twice pushing into the 40s during that span. Seven of Notre Dame’s 10 games this season have gone Over the DraftKings total for this week, including each of its last four.
Boston College averages just 16.9 points per game but the Eagles have scored 52 points in the past couple of weeks. Even a touchdown or two against Notre Dame’s defense, which allows 22.6 points per game, should be plenty to pace this contest Over the total.
Texas Tech-Iowa State Under 48 (-115) ★★★★
Though Texas Tech runs more plays per game than any other team in college football, it’s questionable how successful any of those plays might be this weekend against Iowa State’s eighth-ranked defensive efficiency in the country. Texas Tech’s offensive efficiency only ranks No. 58 in the country.
Games involving the Cyclones this season are 2-8 on Overs, as Iowa State has had six-straight games fall short of this total at DraftKings. It has been another story for Texas Tech, which has seen seven of its 10 games go Over this season. Although the Red Raiders put up 28 points against a quality Kansas State defense, they were held below 20 points twice this season against Baylor and NC State.
Though Texas Tech is a road underdog in this game, the Red Raiders should match up well against a mediocre Iowa State offense. The Cyclones score just 19.6 points per game and rank 77th in offensive efficiency. TTU’s defense is sneaky strong according to the metrics, as the Red Raiders slot in at No. 31 in the country in defensive efficiency.
