Central Michigan vs. Kent State Player Props: Best Bets & TD Picks for Week 13

Two of my best bets are tied to the same fact: the Golden Flashes’ pass defense is absolutely abysmal.

I’m taking aim at an atrocious secondary with two of my three Central Michigan vs. Kent State player props for tonight's MACtion. Kickoff from Dix Stadium in Kent, Ohio, is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU).

Despite being on the road, Central Michigan is an 8.5-point betting favorite. I’m playing into that point spread by recommending wagers on two Chippewas players as part of our college football predictions for Week 13.

💵 Best Central Michigan vs. Kent State player prop bets

  • Joe Labas player prop: Over 152.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Gavin Garcia player prop: Over 38.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐
  • Langston Lewis player prop: Anytime touchdown scorer (+150 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐

💰 Best Central Michigan vs. Kent State player props

⬆️  Joe Labas player prop: Over 152.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Joe Labas shared quarterback chores with multiple teammates in the first three games of 2025. The results were predictable: Labas compiled a total of 171 yards as the Chippewas averaged just 12 points. Since taking over as the team’s primary quarterback in Week 4, Labas has had just one clunker: 72 yards against Bowling Green (a game in which he only threw four passes).

True, Labas fell short of 152 passing yards in five straight games before last week’s 247-yard effort against Buffalo. However, he hovered around that number four times (134, 138, 148, and 152). This week, the junior faces the nation’s 125th-ranked pass defense that yields nearly 270 yards per game. By comparison, Buffalo ranks 30th against the pass.

Bet this Central Michigan vs. Kent State player prop at FanDuel at -114 odds. Implied win probability: 52.27%. Profit on a winning $10 bet: $8.77.

⬆️  Gavin Garcia player prop: Over 38.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

If Kent State wants to compete in this game, the offense will have to stay on the field much longer than the shaky defense. That means controlling the clock by grinding out first downs, which means handing the ball off a lot. The Golden Flashes’ best option: senior running back Gavin Garcia, who has a team-high 107 carries and 419 yards.

Garcia is more of a bulldozer than a racecar. But he slogged his way to 39 rushing yards in last week’s overtime win over Akron, and he’s beaten that number six other times this season (including each of the last three games). Another reason to tail this Central Michigan vs. Kent State player prop: The Chippewas surrender 152.3 rush yards per contest.

The -114 odds at FanDuel carry a 53.27% implied win probability. A successful $10 bet will yield $8.77.

6️⃣ Best Central Michigan vs. Kent State touchdown scorer bet

🔥 Langston Lewis TD pick: Score anytime touchdown (+150) ⭐⭐

As already noted, Central Michigan doesn’t boast a prolific passing attack, as three quarterbacks have combined for 13 passing touchdowns. Also, no wide receiver has more than three scores. That said, quarterback Joe Labas has tossed five of his 10 scoring passes in the last two games, and two landed in the hands of Langston Lewis.

The junior wide receiver found the end zone against both Western Michigan and Buffalo, while also racking up 229 receiving yards on just 10 catches. Lewis also had a TD reception in a Week 5 win against Eastern Michigan. Now, back to Kent State’s horrendous secondary: It has allowed 23 TD passes in 10 games. Only four FBS schools have allowed more.

DraftKings offers the best price on this Central Michigan vs. Kent State touchdown scorer prop. The +150 odds equate to a 40% implied win probability. Risk $10 to win $15.
