Big 12 Predictions, Odds & Best Bets Week 3
Thanks to some exciting midweek games, the Big 12 conference will take center stage to begin Week 3 of the college football season.
The two teams in the sunflower state will be in action on Friday, when Kansas hosts UNLV and Kansas State welcomes Arizona to town (in a non-league matchup).
Our Big 12 predictions begin with a pick for Friday’s doubleheader before heading to Saturday’s slate, which includes bets involving Colorado and Texas Tech.
Check out our Week 3 college football predictions to prepare for an exciting weekend jam-packed with action.

Kansas-UNLV first half Under 29.5 (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
As mentioned in my UNLV vs. Kansas prediction and UNLV vs. Kansas player props, the Jayhawks prioritize the run game on Friday. They trusted their quarterback too much in last week’s loss to Illinois, as Jalon Daniels threw three interceptions.
KU’s offensive approach should help keep the clock moving in the first half, something that’s not a problem between these two teams.
Kansas ranks 71st in the country with an average of 66 plays per game, while UNLV’s run-heavy scheme has led to an average of 63 plays per game.
Though the full-game total of 58.5 is tempting, I prefer the first-half angle.
DraftKings is providing a more significant discount with a -105 price, especially when this line is as low as 28.5 in the market.
Best odds: -105 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 51.22%
Texas Tech -9.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
The Texas Tech Red Raiders hope to rebound from a disappointing Week 2 performance when they host North Texas.
I like the idea of buying low on Texas Tech following last week’s 37-16 loss to Washington State. The market has allowed us to do that by pushing the spread down to single digits after opening Red Raiders -11.
CFB Graphs projects a 19-point victory for the Red Raiders, who haven’t faced North Texas since 2001.
I like Texas Tech to roll in a return of this in-state battle.
Best odds: -110 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 52.38%
Colorado vs. Colorado State Under 58.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
After cashing a first-half Under in Colorado’s game last week, I am betting the full-game Under in Week 3 for its in-state matchup against Colorado State.
Colorado earned a 43-35 win in an overtime thriller in last year's meeting between these two teams. But this year’s Buffaloes have real offensive line concerns, as evidenced by their 10-point effort in a 28-10 road loss to Nebraska last weekend.
BetMGM is the only one of our best sports betting sites offering a full-game total of 58.5 after opening at 59.5, as the market has pushed this line to as low as 57.5. Don’t expect as much of an offensive showcase in Fort Collins.
Best odds: -110 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 52.38%
