Duke is dealing with far less roster attrition than Arizona State. The Sun Devils are without many of their best players who helped them reach the College Football Playoff last season, including Sam Leavitt, Jordyn Tyson, Raleek Brown, and Keith Abney II.
With ASU down at least nine key starters, Duke can take advantage. Quarterback Darian Mensah is a budding star, lifting Duke to No. 24 in offensive SP+.
And Duke's defense was better down the stretch, allowing 25.6 PPG during its three-game winning streak, including limiting Virginia to 20 points in the ACC Championship.

One of the best transfer additions in the country this season has been Cooper Barkate. The Harvard transfer has been the Blue Devils' go-to target for Mensah all year, and without him, they don't win the ACC Championship.
