Alabama vs. Missouri Prediction: Opening Odds & Early Picks for College Football Week 7

Week 7's only SEC battle between top-25 ranked teams takes place Saturday, and my early Alabama vs. Missouri prediction is not in sync with how the point spread has moved since the opening odds were released. Kickoff from Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Mo., is at noon ET (ABC).
Based on the line movement, early picks are backing 14th-ranked Missouri (5-0), but my college football picks focus on No. 8 Alabama (4-1), which is a 3-point betting favorite on the road.
Our college football predictions for Week 7 cover all of the action from Wednesday through the weekend, with early picks, predictions, player props, and touchdown scorers.

🐘 Alabama -3 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
Missouri is riding an eight-game winning streak that dates to last year, is 26-5 since the start of the 2023 season, and is 21-8 ATS in its last 29 contests (including 7-3 ATS as an underdog).
One of the five teams that defeated Missouri during that 29-game stretch? Alabama. In Week 9 last season, the Crimson Tide crushed the Tigers 34-0, easily covering as a 16-point home favorite. It’s the Tigers’ biggest defeat since Week 11 of 2022. In fact, Alabama is 5-0 against Missouri since the latter joined the SEC, with all five victories, including two at Mizzou, being by 19 points or more.
Throw in the Tide’s current 4-0 SU and ATS roll since their season-opening loss at Florida State, and I fully endorse laying a field goal in this contest. A winning $10 bet on Alabama would win $9.09, and the odds carry an implied win probability of 52.38%.

💡 Alabama vs. Missouri odds analysis
The point spread has dropped a full point since opening with the Crimson Tide -4 to the current consensus of -3 (-110). That line movement clearly suggests that sharp bettors love the Tigers. Will the public fall in line with that opinion? Highly doubtful. After all, Nick Saban may be gone, but Alabama is still a nationally recognized (and respected) brand. Also, as previously noted, the Crimson Tide are on a four-game heater.
As such, I fully expect money to pour in on Alabama throughout the week, especially given this perceived short price. So if you like the Tide, pounce now. Conversely, if you believe Mizzou is the play, practice patience. Because I would be stunned if the number isn’t back to -4 by kickoff.
