💰 Alabama vs. Indiana weather: Betting impact for the Rose Bowl
Alabama and Indiana are set for a rainy Rose Bowl game Thursday afternoon in Pasadena. With temperatures being in the low 60's, and the field being saturated, this will lead to both teams focusing on the rushing attack on the offensive side of the ball. I anticipate both teams relying heavily on the run game, as the field will be difficult to gain any traction to the field. This will make passing the ball tough, as receivers will struggle to get space. Winds will be around 6-7 mph, which also leads me to believe the rushing attack will be utilized heavily by each team.

Rose Bowl weather impact
- Trust the run game. Indiana will lean heavily on star running back Roman Hemby to carry the offense early in this game, and his rushing prop may be worth a look. On the other side, I do believe we see a healthy dose of Jam Miller, who has an extremely low rushing total at only 30.5 via FanDuel. Both running backs should go comfortably Over their rushing totals. Hembry is featured in our Alabama vs. Indiana player props.
- Limit turnover opportunities. This one is specifically for Ty Simpson, quarterback of Alabama. This should be a close game if both teams limit their offensive turnovers. Indiana defense does a fantastic job of forcing quarterbacks into taking unnecessary risks, and Alabama needs to limit that by calling a healthy amount of run plays.
- Heisman show. The rain will not hinder the 2025 Heisman trophy winner in this contest. Fernando Mendoza will need to utilize the play action game, as they should be a run first offense today. This should allow Mendoza to hit a few deep throws and take the top off the defense. One of Indiana's receiving weapons is featured in our Alabama vs. Indiana anytime touchdown predictions.
