Former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has signed up as brand ambassador for prediction market operator Kalshi.
Fury announced the partnership on X, sharing a video in which he said Kalshi was supporting his return to boxing. The fight marked Fury’s return to the ring following back-to-back points defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, which had led to questions over his future in the sport. He went on to win the bout by unanimous decision over 12 rounds.
Following the victory, Fury also called out rival Anthony Joshua in the post-fight press conference, stating that a fight with Joshua would be the defining contest in British boxing.
Joshua has previously partnered with Kalshi’s rival Polymarket ahead of his December 2025 fight against Jake Paul in Miami. That deal included sponsored content and branded jewelry worn during his walkout.
The partnership with Fury is the latest in a string of sports-related partnerships for Kalshi, including collaborations with NBA player Devin Booker and the NHL. Polymarket has also secured deals with MLB, UFC, MLS, and LaLiga, intensifying competition between the prediction market apps.
Multiple famous athletes invest in Kalshi
At the same time, Kalshi has been cementing its status as a preferred partner among high-profile athletes after it was revealed that many had been slowly investing in the prediction market operator before Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo publicly disclosed his own investment in February.
The athletes participated in Kalshi’s December Series E funding round, which raised $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation. Their participation accounted for a $4.7 million portion of the overall raise and was structured through Factory Holdings, a platform focused on athlete and entertainer investments.
The group of investors included WNBA players Breanna Stewart, Nneka Ogwumike, and Diana Taurasi, alongside NBA players Ajay Mitchell and Jaime Jaquez Jr., NHL player Connor McDavid, and former NFL players Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman.
Other athletes with stakes in Kalshi include Kyle Kuzma of the Milwaukee Bucks, while Kevin Durant is an investor through the 35V venture fund he co-founded with agent Rich Kleiman.
Kalshi did not publicly disclose the athlete investors when it first announced the Series E round, which was led by existing investor Paradigm and included participation from investment fund Sequoia Capital and venture capitalist Andreessen Horowitz. Kalshi is also reportedly seeking to raise an additional $1 billion at a valuation of $22 billion.
Despite the rapid growth of the prediction market sector, Kalshi is facing legal and regulatory disputes in multiple US states over whether its prediction-market contracts fall under state gambling regulation or federal oversight.
