MGM Resorts International and BetMGM expanded their responsible gaming initiatives in time for Responsible Gaming Education Month. In partnership with the American Gaming Association (AGA) for the third consecutive year, the initiative will highlight the GameSense program across several NFL venues this season.

GameSense messaging promotes safe gambling practices through transparent and proactive engagement, and will be displayed on LED ribbons and stadium scoreboards during pre-game activities during the 2025 football season, as well as in-game day magazines.

Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, joins the initiative for the first time this year. Other stadiums include Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh Steelers), Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders), Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos), Ford Field (Detroit Lions), GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs), M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens), MetLife Stadium (New York Giants, New York Jets), Nissan Stadium (Tennessee Titans) and State Farm Stadium (Arizona Cardinals).

“Placing GameSense in league stadiums gives us direct access to millions of fans each week. It’s a powerful platform to promote public awareness and amplify our company’s commitment to provide a safe and informed gambling experience,” said Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer, BetMGM

In addition to stadium promotions, September will feature 'Play Smart from the Start' messaging through AGA channels, BetMGM sportsbooks, digital platforms, and Las Vegas marquees. The campaign will also extend into the new MGM Grand Live Dealer studio, while BetMGM reminders will encourage players to “take a time-out” and “budget before you bet,” with QR codes directing to support resources.

MGM Resorts also confirmed a $250,000 donation to the International Center for Responsible Gaming to fund peer–reviewed research. More than 1,900 employees have now been certified as GameSense Advisors, supporting players at BetMGM sportsbooks and MGM Rewards desks across the country.

BetMGM mass app changes

At the same time, BetMGM Sportsbook announced updates to its mobile application ahead of the 2025 NFL season. The operator confirmed new features designed to increase speed and usability, positioning itself to better compete against the other best sports betting sites.

“This is the fastest, most user-friendly, and best product we have ever offered. Every detail was designed with players in mind. By blending years of customer feedback with the ingenuity of our product development team, we’ve built a premium sports betting app with a level of detail and insight that sets BetMGM apart,” said Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer, BetMGM.

The update introduces live same-game parlay betting, a feature dominated by rivals. A new wheel scrolling feature has also been rolled out for the “correct score” market, with potential for expansion into other categories. Rewards integration will now be displayed, where you can see points earned with each bet and link them to the national portfolio of hotels and casinos. You should use a BetMGM bonus code before digging into all the new options.

Industry competition remains intense, and BetMGM’s latest upgrades underscore the company’s strategy to maintain its market share in an environment where speed, innovation, and customer incentives are crucial to user engagement.
