Buffalo Bills
Only one field goal was the difference for the Bills last week against the Miami Dolphins in a game they were favored to win by 14 points. The Dolphins' chances were slim in the absence of Tua Tagovailoa, but they managed to score 31 points while led by third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson.
Bills QB Josh Allen turned the ball over three times, including two interceptions which increased his season total to a league-leading 16. Allen managed 352 yards and three passing touchdowns but was sacked for a career-high seven times. Stephon Diggs and Gabe Davis were two bright spots for Buffalo, each recording over 100 receiving yards.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have now been one point away from covering in consecutive games against the Baltimore Ravens after defeating them 21-17 on January 15. They still hold the second-best record in the NFL against the spread (12-5), covering in each of the three games they were not favored to win this season. Joe Burrow rushed for a touchdown and found lead receiver Ja’Marr Chase in the end zone, but a defensive fumble return by Sam Hubbard ended up being the difference in the game.
These two teams have not met since 2019 when Buffalo came out on top by a score of 21-17. The Bills have now reached the Divisional round for a third consecutive season, while the Bengals are still chasing their first championship after losing in the Super Bowl for the third time in franchise history this past season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
