Global entertainment and sports streaming group DAZN has announced an exclusive global strategic partnership with FIFA’s official prediction market partner ADI Predictstreet to expand into the prediction market sector.
Under the agreement, the two companies will develop regulated prediction markets that allow users to make predictions on sports events while watching DAZN content. The partnership will therefore combine DAZN's sports streaming platform, which operates in more than 200 markets, with ADI Predictstreet's prediction market technology for prediction market apps.
The two companies said they intended to focus initially on DAZN's international reach, with the US identified as a key market, though any US launch will depend on getting the necessary regulatory approvals and licenses.
Abu Dhabi-based blockchain platform ADI Chain will reportedly provide the infrastructure to support the partnership, including digital settlement technology and stablecoin capabilities. The companies also outlined plans to explore a DAZN-branded stablecoin as part of future digital services.
“Prediction markets are becoming one of the most exciting and rapidly growing forms of digital fan engagement. This exclusive partnership combines ADI Predictstreet’s innovative regulated platform with DAZN’s global reach, premium rights, and direct relationship with sports fans in more than 200 markets. Together, we have the opportunity to create an entirely new way for fans to participate in the sporting moments they care about most. The United States will be a major focus, and we intend to launch there as soon as the required regulatory framework and licenses are in place,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group.
DAZN Bet makes North American debut in Ontario
As well as its prediction market plans, DAZN has also launched a sportsbook and online casino in the Ontario sports betting scene, which is now the operator's first North American regulated gambling market.
According to the company, the platform features a sportsbook designed for Canadian customers as well as online casino games, including slots, table games, and live dealer products. DAZN was awarded its license from the provincial regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, in January. The group also looks to expand into Alberta sports betting space and Alberta online casino space after securing an operator license from Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis. Alberta’s regulated market launched on July 13.
Ontario users will initially wager through the standalone DAZN Bet website. DAZN has integrated live betting along with streaming in some European markets, bringing together in-play odds alongside live broadcasts, statistics, and highlights, but it is not clear whether this will be introduced in Ontario.
“Ontario is an important moment for DAZN Bet and a market where trust matters deeply to players,” said DAZN Bet’s Managing Director of Canada, Richard Rawlinson. “We are combining the strength of a global sports entertainment brand with a localized product that is built for Canadian customers. Our focus is on responsible growth, strong compliance, and a customer experience that feels distinctly Canadian. This is the beginning of a long-term commitment to the country.”
