Of the 206 bets of at least $1,000 wagered on Super Bowl LVII at Caesars Sportsbook, 41 have been on the Buffalo Bills.
Bills tickets have accounted for 14.4% of the betting handle overall, which more than doubles the next highest handle percentage. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rank second with 6.8% of the betting handle.

“Usually you have a wide variety on bets for each team for Super Bowl futures,” noted Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading at Caesars Sportsbook. “So I’d think it’s very rare that one team just totally dominates like the Bills are doing now. I just think the Bills have all the momentum in the public’s eyes, like it’s a matter of when not if they’re going to win the Super Bowl. I’m not surprised they’re a popular choice. But as far as betting goes, for it to be that big of a difference is surprising, especially on a team that has pretty low odds.”

Buffalo has also received the most bets to win Super Bowl LVII with 10.6% of the tickets. However, the gap between first and second isn’t as big as the handle disparity.
The Cincinnati Bengals have received the second most bets to win this year’s Super Bowl with 6.4% of the futures tickets.
“On paper, the Bills are obviously one of the top teams in the league,” Pullen said. “But there’s so much parity in the league, so much can happen. If you look at the sheet for Super Bowl futures last year, the Bengals were one spot from the bottom. Seeing that the Bengals could catch lightning in a bottle, you can’t really rule any team out.”
With the 2022 NFL season still months away, there will be plenty of line movement and changes to the betting trends over the coming months. Still, it’s eye-opening to see such a significant percentage of the championship futures bets coming in on an organization that hasn’t been to a Super Bowl since losing four consecutive nearly 30 years ago.
