Gambling operator BetMGM awarded over $122 million in progressive jackpot winnings to online casino players across its regulated markets in 2025, according to figures released this week. The total includes all the payouts made across its network of state and province-based online casino sites in the US and Canada.
The biggest share of jackpot payouts came from the Michigan online casino market, where players collectively won $42.6 million in 2025. The Pennsylvania online casino market followed in second place with $29.7 million, while New Jersey online casino players won $23.5 million. For players using Ontario online casinos, jackpot winnings hit CA$29.5 million, and West Virginia online casinos recorded another $5 million.
Several high-value wins occurred toward the end of the year and into early 2026. In late December, a Michigan player won $897,928 on a single $8 spin of Bison Fury. Days later, another Michigan-based customer recorded a $612,764 jackpot on MegaJackpots Cash Eruption. The largest individual payout of the year came in Ontario in April, when a progressive jackpot on MGM Grand Millions reached CA$1.6 million.
“In 2025, BetMGM brought big names to iGaming – from the Wizard of Oz slots and Rakin’ Bacon to branded Price is Right casino games. Jackpots transformed gameplay into legendary moments for our players and continues to be one of the ways we leverage our exclusive relationship with MGM Resorts International,” said Oliver Bartlett, VP of Gaming at BetMGM.
BetMGM’s progressive jackpots are linked across multiple jurisdictions where regulations permit. The prize pools grow over time until they are triggered by a winner playing on one of the editions of the game. According to BetMGM, its jackpot network includes over 25 casino titles and operates separately in each licensed market, with a strong focus on responsible gaming across its online casino regions.
BetMGM extends partnership with Pittsburgh Steelers
In a separate development, BetMGM has also extended its partnership with the NFL franchise, the Pittsburgh Steelers, through the 2029 NFL season. The renewed agreement will see BetMGM retained as the Steelers’ official sports betting and online casino partner.
As part of the deal, BetMGM will continue to advertise on team media platforms and stadium signage, with the focus of that marketing being on fan engagement in the regulated betting markets of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The partnership also includes an extension to the Decade of Black & Gold sweepstakes, which awards a long-term season ticket prize to an eligible fan.
BetMGM also introduced its new Steel City Slingo as part of its exclusive line-up of branded games this season, along with in-stadium promotions on Pittsburgh Steelers-branded games for eligible players.
“This partnership extension allows BetMGM to continue delivering experiences that reflect the energy and passion of Steelers Nation. From game day activations to exclusive Steelers-branded casino games and the amazing opportunity to win 10 years of season tickets, we’re focused on creating memorable moments for fans,” said Casey Hurbis, Chief Marketing Officer of BetMGM.
