Already a popular Super Bowl LVI MVP bet, Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald is also receiving significant attention in the prop market at Caesars Sportsbook. The book released betting trends for defensive team and player props ahead of the championship game.

There’s a lot of discussion focused on Cincinnati’s offensive line after allowing the third most sacks during the regular season and nine to the Titans in the Divisional Round.

“I think the Bengals’ offensive line issues have been one of the major storylines, and that’s put more of a focus on sacks for this Super Bowl than in recent years,” said Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading at Caesars Sportsbook. “If you’ve been betting overs on sacks in these playoffs, you’ve been up pretty good. The Bengals’ performance against the Titans is still in people’s minds. This sack prop is a high number, but it’s a deserving number given what the Rams have on that side of the ball.”

The total sacks prop is at 5.0 with the over a sizable -140 favorite while the under is at +110. The over has received 96 percent of tickets and 98 percent of the handle.

In the individual sacks market (over/under 0.5 sacks), Donald (over -190/under +160), Von Miller (-170/+140) and Trey Hendrickson (-150/+120) are the three favored to go over the number. Leonard Floyd (+110/-140) and Sam Hubbard (+200/-240) are the two others with sack props available.

Over bettors have backed Donald to the tune of 87 percent of tickets and 92 percent of dollars wagered. The splits are more even for Miller and Hendrickson. The overs for Miller (67 percent) and Hendrickson (63 percent) have earned the majority of the total number of tickets, however, under for Miller (58 percent) and Hendrickson (82 percent) has received the majority of the handle.

“We’ll offer sack props for the sack leaders on each team,” Pullen said. “Some people maybe aren’t familiar with some of those players, so they might not garner as much action. But Aaron Donald and Von Miller are two exceptions, and I would expect more handle on their sack props than in years past. Obviously the bigger names will draw the bigger action, so that’s probably what’s going to happen for these two come Sunday.”

Value seekers could find an edge backing Floyd. He’s recorded 20 sacks over the past two seasons, and could have an easier time tracking down Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow with the Bengals probably allocating more attention to blocking Donald and Miller.

The interception total for the game is 1.5 (over -130/under +100), and the over has a 77 percent ticket count worth 58 percent of the handle.

Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been the most bet player to record an interception with his prop at +550 to record a pick versus -800 not to. The ticket count is 97 percent and money wagered 96 percent that Ramsey will record an interception. Ramsey finished the regular season with just four picks, which tied his career-high mark, so his odds are probably a little short.
