Interesting match. I didn't think Almagro would have as much trouble as he did with Petzschner last round. While hard courts are not really his surface, he has a really good serve that is suited to the surface. For Sock, it is a question of whether he can play with the big boys. I don't think he's going to win ... but if Almagro struggles as much as he did during the Petzschner match - Sock could stick around, but he'll need to serve big and not get engaged in long rallies where I think Almagro will work him over.

Knew that Berdych-Querrey total was going to skyrocket. Up to 41.5 now. Been a ton of movement on totals in the last couple of days. I don't think I recall books scrambling to adjust this much to the action before on totals of all things. I've seen several in the last two days that have drifted 1.5-2 games which is just ridiculous.

Looks like today is my give back day finally. Surprised I haven't had a shit, loser of a day to this point - but right now, this is shaping up to be poor. Murray isn't getting into Lopez' serve like I thought he would, so that 1st set is going deep and may blow the under single handedly. Need a break from Murray now. Chardy as I said, playing like Chardy when I bet on him. Dude would probably be up 2-0 if I avoided him. LoL. Berdych-Querrey Over is probably a massive need for me to avoid a blood bath.

Triple break point at 5-4 Murray with a chance to close 6-4 and he doesn't convert any. 1st set is either going 12 or 13 games. Would take a 'mercle just for a push. Would have bet my ball sack that Murray would have broken him at 0-40.

Gonna go watch some football along with Sock-Alamgro and hope maybe the afternoon and evening brings some back. Good luck with your plays.

Impressively KO'ed the top seeds in their 1st match. The team they get today is more suitable to clay. Although Sock played today in a tough loss, we know doubles is not nearly as taxing as singles + Johnson-Sock should rely on their serves to get them through some cheap points to avoid rallies.

The women don't possess much in the way of power like the men do. That is how men dominate with serve. That is why you see a few women who can absolutely dominate - Serena obviously - with a blistering serve.

Murray isn't playing very well today + Lopez decided to show up and show some emotion. I still think if Murray broke him in the 1st when he had it 0-40 to win 6-4, the whole complexion of the match might have changed and the disengaged Lopez might have cropped up. As is, he has stayed engaged and Murray has allowed him to stay in the match really - he had the 2nd set to win much easier up a break, but wound up going to a tie break. Just one of those matches that guys who want to win Championships have to grind through. More often than not the top guys will get one of these scary matches along the way.

Doubles disappoints. Sock-Johnson dropped serve a few times which I did not expect. Sloane just took the 1st set. Querrey-Berdych playing tight tennis. If Berdy grabs a set, the over should be gold - but that might be a big if. Querrey serving lights out.
