I see the tennisinsight crowd is all on Blake. That usually means the favorite wins. I don't see what all is to like about Blake other than the price. If you would have had this match a month ago, I would have tried Blake ... at this point, I think Ferrer takes him out. Ferrer is way too consistent for Blake IMO. sharapova hasnt been impressive at all in the first 2 rounds. went 3 sets in the 1st round and her 2nd round opponent was absolutely garbage. couldnt hit a winner for her life, she was a rally partner and sharapova struggles in the games, but not the actual score.

Underdogs won 16 games out of the last 14 sets on Arthur Ashe in the last 6 matches... I think US Open is ******* up big time, Wimbledon put the best matches on center court and US Open is putting Roddick vs Sock as the night match again! after that shitshow vs Russell, why not put Blake vs Ferrer! or Murray vs Haase would be super high quality... I think the Roddick-Sock match makes sense. #1, let's not kid ourselves ... TV rules whatever winds up being the top billing. In this case, they can beat to DEATH the Wunderkind aspect of the "next big thing in US tennis" against the last big thing in US tennis. I don't mind it, I just hope it's going to be a good show ...
