Not concerned about Benneteau's fitness. I was more concerned that he would be flat in his opener against Almagro and it was the opposite. You get appropriate rest at Slams without rain and he barely broke a sweat against Almagro. Only thing that concerns me is Istomin matches seem to usually fukk me over, but I like the form here for the Frenchman.

No way Nadal loses .... I'd rate Haase maybe a 5% chance of shocking Murray if Murray has a poor day serving. Haase has been playing well of late, but would need to dominate on-serve and have Murray struggle. He could push him some ... but I think Murray's fitness and variety prevail.

Man this second set is WTA-esque with Istomin and Benneteau. Break after break. Benneteau really needs to take charge after breaking back or I'm gonna start getting nervous about him.

do you like haase +7.5 like I do? I know he can push Murray, maybe not enough to win but still enough to cover this easily

I don't know. People seem to be enamored with Haase, I'm not one of them. He might be good enough at his best to stay within that 7.5 range, but I don't think he takes more than a set from Murray. If this were on clay where I think Haase seems more comfortable at this stage, I might say maybe a shocker is possible ... but I don't see anything in his form on hard courts that makes me think he will. I think Murray would have to have a very poor serving day to give Haase a chance at an outright win.

Old Man River, don't you die on me today! I'm not altogether sure Nalbandian has every recovered from his epic match with Hewitt at the Australian Open. His year has been riddled with fitness concerns and failure on hard courts. Ljubicic also has had physical ailments keep him from playing a lot, but that might work to his advantage here as he'll need to be fresh against Nalbandian. If OMR can nail down those 1st serves, he's a shot to win today.

I'm either skipping winners and picking losers and/or picking guys who have the mental fortitude of wet toilet paper and can't put someone away when given 27 opportunities. At least I got some nice laughs reading stories about Donald Young and his "great win" ... No Aces. 9 double faults. Only 62% won on 1st serve. 20 break opps, only ten saved. Won one more point that his opponent. I think it was a match of equally shitty players and the least shitty player won today. Sad state of affairs that the US is so starved for another tennis "star" that they'll reach to try and make Young into something.

Again not playing anything which means these probably cash, but these are what I would do if I did something, which I am not.
