Zhang had a good result at Wimbledon getting to the quarterfinals but she's been very pedestrian on hardcourt this year. I also tend to think she plays at her best against better players.
Krunic has been very poor this year with a 10-20 record but she did play decent at the US Open in her last match making Ostapenko work very hard. I've also noticed she plays particularly well in Asia over the last several years.
Even though Zhang is the top seed and playing in her home country, I question if she should be this much of a favourite. I think Krunic worth a shot at these odds.
