Watch this Kudla kid today. He's another American being billed as a "future" hope. He has a legit shot to push Ventura hard if he handles himself with composure. Finished in the QFs of the Wimbledon Juniors. Already up a break. I didn't have the balls to take him myself.

#2103Ventura is a P.O.S. outside of clay events. Other than obviously a huge rankings gap based on age/experience, I don't know why anyone would have felt Ventura was a good play today at his price.
Fish rolling. By the way Beef, I got Fish at +425 to win Newport this morning. For some reason a lot of the prices floated up. Even Querrey was up to +175 from +155. Got O.Rochus at +1550 as the super longshot.

#2104I'm glad I didn't put any money on Russell.
The only thing that made me hesitate about Kudla was his whole getting tossed from his last match due to being late. You never know what's going on in someone's head when that happens or if it was purely just an accident - I couldn't find anything out about it.Comment -

#2105Yeah I saw that too, but figured since he got his act together for Wimbledon Juniors that he either "got the message" or it was a one time accidental thing.Comment -

#2106Yeah I saw that myself and put a little coin on that..+425??!! Wonder what caused that to go up?
As long as the favs win today, its going to be around the same price later on tonight as well..Comment -

#2107Devvarman did win rather easily. Not seeing the match, would not know if it was fixed or not because Kim's stats look like Kim's stats - bad.
Fish wins easily. Hopefully Querrey can do the same.Comment -

#2110Not big on either, but I'd almost always go against Guccione as a favorite. All he has is his serve. If Bubka can hold his serve, he could have a shot. Bubka made it through qualifying, so perhaps he likes the courts here.Comment -

#2111Mahut went from in control to awful in about 10 minutes in his match. Wins 6-3. Loses 6-1. Had to save multiple break points in the 1st service game of the 3rd.Comment -

#2117good job with Mahut, good to see somebody backed him. Falla though has had some real tough losses on grass recently, tight 3 setter with Malisse, Federer clash in the first round and now this match. hope he turns it aroundComment -

#2122WEDNESDAY
SCHNYDER +156
So I'm supposed to believe Kleybanova is a -176 favorite because her ranking is higher? No thanks. Schynder owns a 3-0 head-2-head advantage along with a win last year at this tourney against Kleybanova. Kleybanova is just 4-3 on clay this year. Schynder is 8-6 this season on dirt and 5-1 at this tournament, having lost the final last year. Kleybanova's serving in her 1st round match left a lot to be desired with only 46% first serves getting in and just 54% won on her 1st serve. I'll take the veteran here in the Swiss.Comment -

#2123PARLAY: SANTONJA + DULGHERU [+100]
Both Santonja and Dulgheru have form advantages over their opponents on clay. Santonja made a WTA clay final in Estoril in the Spring and has mainly been solid on dirt with an 11-6 mark in 2010. Her opponent, Vives, won her first main draw clay court match at this tournament after either failing to qualify on clay or losing in the 1st round this year. Dulgheru has been very good on clay, while Chakvetadze has barely played on dirt in 2010. Dulgheru is 16-5 on dirt and should get through here.Comment -

#2128I've also decided against Schnyder. It's become too popular of a public pick. May still hit, but I'm sitting it out, Price has been burrowed down to +134 by the way.Comment -

#2129SCHNYDER-KLEYBANOVA OVER 21 [-110]
Their lone meeting on clay last year in this tournament was a nice 3 set battle with the first two sets contested at 7-5 scorelines. With as poorly as Kleybanova served yesterday and Schnyder in her own right sometimes off & on with her serve, this one could be a typical WTA breakfest which may lead to some competitive sets too.Comment -

#2134DANCEVIC +175
I do love me some Mahut on grass, but this is a good spot I think to go against the Frenchman. Dancevic is a capable grass court player in his own right [made the Eastbourne final in 2009] when healthy and he appears to be headed in the right direction with his return from a back injury. His serve whipped out 14 aces in his 1st rounder. He does need to improve his 1st serve percentage though as 50% isn't going to cut it often. Mahut struggled in his opener, but did put away Falla in 3. Mahut crushed Dancevic in Wimbledon qualis last month and this is a good revenge spot for the Canadian to prove his health and form were a big part of him losing that match in such a lopsided manner.Comment -

#2135Love the Dancevic play, EP. The fact that he's a Canadian never hurts either. I'm going to tail you on this one.Comment
