      Yes. Dulgheru cashes yesterday's parlay!

Rezai up a set, but down a break in the 2nd already. Bacsinszky sucking dong in the 1st set, down 0-3.

Bacsinszky is getting crushed by Cornet. Hopefully she'll wake up. Rezai fought back to be on-serve.

Is anyone watching the match? Just looking from the stats alone I'd either guess Timea's injured or something screwy is going on.

                      Nice bagel.

Well it is WTA. Seen matches change quickly from one set to the next and it is Cornet after all, so maybe we can get the presto change-o action no here in the 2nd.

Down goes Bacsinszky. She goes up an early break and then serving late in the 2nd, chokes it up and doesn't win another game. Little fishy maybe, but probably just regular WTA shenanigans.

                              WTA DOUBLES: BACSINSZKY-GARBIN [-125]
Yeah I know doubles, you on crack? Probably. But in Bacsinszky & Garbin, you have a pair of players who have teamed up plenty this season and made the finals of a clay court tournament and generally had good results against equal or lesser teams. In Hercog & Chakvetadze, that's what they should find. Hercog has played several doubles tournaments with mixed results, mostly not great, while Chakvetadze rarely plays doubles. They are teaming for the 1st time this tournament and had to fight tooth & nail to escape with a 10-8 win in the super tie break format for doubles. Bacsinszky & Garbin won in straights are are seeded #2, not that that means a hill of crap. I have been winning doubles with several "off-the-board" picks this week, so this oughta be good fade material if nothing else. Starts in 10 in Budapest. Bacsinszky you owe me!

Yeah it was a freaking nightmare for the last set + the tie break. Those ladies blew a break lead and then they alternated breaks, etc. In other words, typical WTA.

                                      ATP DOUBLES: GONZALEZ-RETTENMAIER [-115]
The stupidity continues eh? Yes! This team goes up against Mahut & Roger-Vasselin. Gonzalez and Rettenmaier are the more experienced doubles duo and they have teamed up on several occassions this year with their best results on clay. They went 1-1 at Wimbledon, losing a tight 4 set match to Llodra-Benneteau. I believe they have made five doubles finals over the past two years as a team with more of that success on the Challenger level. They won their first match at Newport in straights with strong serving, while Mahut & Vasselin had to go to the super tie break after two tie break sets. May see tight sets again with the serving of both looking pretty solid. Still, I think with the more experience tandem getting a tad bit of a better price [-125 for Mahut/Vasselin], I'll side with them and watch my money flush away. Starts at 1:30pm ET. Giddyup.

Yeah I'd be freaking excited if it got to that. I did that one other time at the US Open two years ago. Had Serena & Jankovic in futures and they played in the final.

Love that super breaker win. I think weeks like this when there isn't a ton of action, I get time to actually look at doubles rankings, results, etc. In the bigger tournaments, there's just too much going on the singles draws to worry about it.

Am I sick, probably. This one is simply about form. Ramirez-Hidalgo is almost exclusively a clay court player. This tournament in Spain marked his 1st hard court match since the US Open last year when he lost to James Blake in straights. His Belgian opponent, Deslein, has been mostly a Challenger level player with poor results on all surfaces. I'm quite uncertain how Deslein is ranked in the Top 180 with the results I have looked at. Ramirez-Hidalgo looked okay in his 1st rounder here after having a shoulder issue in his last clay tournament prior to this. He had made a semifinal and a final on clay in June, so his form was good - just needs to transfer onto a harder surface. Neither guy is really a hard court "specialist" - but I'll side with the Spaniard in Spain at a modest price. Starts at 5pm ET. Money goes down the drain at 5:01. Choo choo.

Thing that could work for them though is that Verdasco and Ferrer are both pretty average at Davis Cup on this surface. If they can split the first two ties - either Monfils over Ferrer or Llodra over Verdasco, I think they can win the doubles and then would need Monfils or Llodra to win once more.

You see odds anywhere on just picking a country to win this weekend? That'd be what I prefer probably to picking matches.
