This tournament may as well be in Asia for these Asian players in the day matches. Major home court advantage I'm not sure if people realize. I was there last night and I felt like a minority (I'm white). Flushing is Asia of the west and the qualifiers are free to go too, and most people are working today. So you just get a bunch of locals (primarily asians) attending these matches.

I was on Zheng this morning and she's looking good. Wang had crowd behind him last night when he came back to beat Evans. Nishioka just grabbed set off Kokkinakkis. Something to look out for.

Asian players are lacking physically in some ways, for the most part but
they make up for it in tenacity and are more reliable emotionally.
i don't think their work ethic or moral compass allows for match throwing either.

Yeah it's no joke. I'll have to remember this for next year too. It's only going to last through Qualis. Once you have to start paying for tickets and the real matches start the Demographic is going to change drastically.
