It's more down to time with me really. I'm a motorsport tragic and betting that takes as much time reading and following week to week changes as tennis. So I gave up on seriously betting tennis about 18 months ago.

I'm a bit shocked how fast you lose touch with tennis when you dont follow week to week btw.

I used to be amused about the people coming out during slams posting silly picks based on rank or fame or public perception. Well they seemed obviously silly to me at the time. But for Wimbledon I sat down and spent a day or two looking at every mens 1st round match, at least the recent match records and surfaces and basic stuff i could get at tennisexplorer.

Put in my entry for Shari's competition feeling kind of confident. Was thinking to myself if I do ok on round 1 then I'll start betting seriously for round 2. Didn't even get 50% correct! lol

I guess I'm just one of the silly slam only bettors now too!
