Pella over Mayer?

Has a good h2h against him, and has been playing great tennis lately. Figured there may be value in the + odds we get with him. Although Mayer's competition has been much stiffer. Thoughts?

Very disappointing 2nd set tiebreaker for Pella, which will lead to an early break, and a quick finish. Wish he would have kept his foot on Mayer's throat, but instead became timid and vulnerable serving. Not Happy about it.

Amazing how you hold serve for 12 straight games....then all of a sudden you can't hold serve in a tiebreak, to finish the match. The difference between guys in the top 100 and outside the top 100 is how they handle pressure and their mental stability.

I wish you luck, but it kind of sucks that Mayer begins with serve in the 3rd set......at least if it was Pella, a break of serve would still keep you alive.

The key is holding serve this 1st service game......so many times when you fail to end the match, you fall to a quick break....hope this doesn't hold true in our case.

First of all, that's a flawed point since there is a massive difference between losing a service game and a service point (or even two or three) in a tiebreak. Second of all I'd cut that number down to outside top five.

There are individual differences of course but overall look at Konga, Japman, Gascan and even Birdshit.

Sure....I get that. Of course tiebreakers are different then service games, lol. I meant couldn't hold on individual points in the tiebreak, when he little trouble doing so in the first 12 games....which equates to I don't know 60 points or so!
