He finished last year's clay season absolutely on fire.. had a couple davis cup matches on clay in argentina so he should be ready for the surface and travel. should minimally make it to the finals imo. would say almagro could be a problem but he hasn't had a real match in months.

Fognini has the more difficult route IMO. It's #1 and #2 seed, there isn't really a night and day difference between the two other than who they have to play to get deep into the tournament. Robredo's draw seems more favorable.

Im on Fognini to win the tournament but to be honest he doesnt look solid at any point in his matches. He looks like he loses focus and could faulter terribly at any time.

Perhaps thats just the way he comes across on tv. He never looks 100% committed to winning at all costs.

It's not such an enjoyable ride when I bet him to win.
