Forgot how much I like watching doubles. Watching Niemo-Tursunov. Very quick pace is enjoyable to view.

Robredo-Gasquet looks like it could be a 4-5 set war. I'm still skittish on Gasquet. His serve is still somewhat off from the parts of his matches I have watched and he is making too many errors. I think Robredo is actually a more consistent ground stroke guy at the moment. Gasquet has the better talent overall for sure. I think it's interesting to see if he was just playing down a level and taking it a bit easy against two guys he knew he could beat or if his game is off a little. If it is, Robredo will bury him.

I got burned by Fognini beating Nieminen, but if Querrey plays like he did against Gulbis ... I think the Samurai takes it. Fognini left a lot of break points hanging against Niemo. I think he saved 12/16, but the more chances you give - the better chance you're eventually going to get broken.

Anderson is getting absolutely nothing on ERV's serve. Only way he might win a set is in a TB.

Berdych needs to get a freaking break. Had the chance on the first service game and could not come through. Kid is holding his nerve fairly well, but his ground game is shaky. Lots of errors. Berdshit needs to capitalize on that crapola.

I thought about the Djokovic-Istomin Over when it was 28, but it drifted to 29 now. I don't know. Istomin can be absolutely on and play hard each set, but I watched part of the Tursunov match and he still has too many lulls in his game where better players will make him pay.

I'm just gonna chuck this Berdych one in the garbage. Even if he pulls this set out, I doubt he's going to dominate enough to get those runaway sets that would be needed. He's had the kid at 30-30 every service game and only got break points once out of four games. Gotta do better than that. Knowing how big a knucklehead Berdych can be for one game, he probably will blow this set.

I like him in that one. Wish the price was a little better, but I don't really thing Fognini had done anything special this tournament and this is not his surface. Some will bag on Gulbis last round, but Querrey played a solid match. I just think it's important for Sam to start fast and get ahead. Always a chance someone can lose on any given day ... but on this surface, I do like Querrey. Just wish the price was about 25 cents shorter.
