In a few weeks I will start a official thread. These odds are rediculous. A rested ferrer should be able to take care of wawrinka. Ferrer was out of Gas when he lost in the finals to WaWa. I'm not sure about the motivation, but ferrer is the more professional slash dedicated tennis player. I fully expect David to beat wawrinka.


Lots see Tsonga as Value here at +135.... Becareful. Andy Murray is recovering from back sergery but this may be all on Tsonga. Andy Murray will treat this as a rehab match, so he will try.but who knows if Tsonga even shows up

Entirely depends.

Ferrer's game caters around exposing the weaker shot of his opponent, which generally tends to be their backhand, by going inside out forehand all day longer with lots of margin for error and deep 3/4 length to the baseline. Wawrinka's backhand is his strength, it's the best single hander on tour and one of the best overall.

I do not believe Ferrer wins this matchup when Wawrinka is in full flow and playing well. Especially since Stan elevated his game to another level last season, never-the-less........ we've seen Stan is only bringing his game to certain level events and with the fact he hasn't played since the o2, I don't feel he is the sort to get right back into his stride.

Ferrer is the consumate professional and will be giving max effort, with no question about it. Wawrinka you feel will not exactly be drawing blood to get the W here, especially with it being an exhibition event.

Despite the fact Wawrinka wins the matchup when both are on and is the overall more talented player and shotmaker. I feel motivation will come into play and the roadrunner will grind Stan down and himself to a victory.

Agree with the pick, although not with as much confidence as you to suggest if Ferrer's fit he wins on any givne day.

Only a 2 unit play for me at around the same odds.
