I use Electrum on my desktop personally but suggest Edge for people who prefer to use their phones as it is very simple and even brand new users seem to work it out without many questions.
I am a bit confused about the 5 days to transfer and limited comment? Edge is just a stand alone wallet, not an exchange company. Nor any sort of business that charges you, controls sending time frame or can put a limit on what you do with the wallet.
Maybe you are thinking of CashApp?.Comment -

#40I got edge on my phone. To send money from there to my bank it’s asking me to pick options where to send it?Originally posted by OptionalThe person asked what wallet to use as a middle man wallet. IE: between their Coinbase account and a sportsbook.

Bank, CC or debit. That has like an 8% fee. Bank account 1% but max per month is like only 2,500.
So this is to replace not Coinbase but a wallet? I’m currently using Block chain.Comment -

#41It sounds like they have incorporated a third party exchange service. Same as Blockchain.com wallet did. Just ignore it. Will be bad value and probably require even more ID than Coinbase or Gemini.Originally posted by pimike

I was suggesting it as just a standalone wallet..Comment -

#44Localbitcoins or paxful have several different ways to sell to private buyers. You can sell for gift cards, paypal, money transfers etc. The websites are not based in the U.S so they don't report to IRS.Just make sure the buyers have a good reputation. Probably impossible any other way. Unless you are doing huge amounts of bitcoin I would not worry about IRS. I have never reported anything when they send me those forms.Originally posted by YanksHeels1For users in the US, what are the best ways to convert you bitcoin winnings into cash without uncle sam finding out? if there even is a way..Comment -

#48I used to use Blockchain.com until I didn't receive the confirmation email anymore due to technical issues.
Then I switched to Electrum, also because of Optional's advice, and I'm absolutely satisfied. It's way more convenient than Blockchain.com, has a very clear and reduced look, all the functions you need, no technical issues so far, just great to use. I'd recommend Electrum.Comment -

#49I just keep my coins in Coinbase Pro (because I trade frequently) and Blockchain (intermediate holding area). I don't use a phone for for any coin transactions. I did use Electrum on my PC several years ago but dropped it. I did use Exodus temporarily to resolve a problem converting coins. I think I would use Exodus if I wanted a PC based wallet. Any opinions on Exodus?Comment -

#51I know you probably know this already but I'll post it for the benefit of those that may not.Originally posted by OptionalThanks for that info.
I'll have to give it a try.
In order to use the same electrum wallet across multiple devices ie pc/mac/tablet/phone when setting up electrum you use the "restore using 12 word seed phrase" of your original electrum wallet on any subsequent installs of electrum on other devices.
I believe the wording in electrum during setup is select "I already have a seed".
Now all your electrum wallets on different devices will be in sync and will display all transactions regardless of which device you used.Comment -
