    Vegas Books Online
I've never been to Vegas but when asking a few people who have been they said this isn't an option. Are Vegas casinos online? I don't get it. For someone who would live in Vegas and gamble consistently wouldn't it make sense to put up a site so they can wager from home? You go to the Sportsbook load money onto your account and when you cash out you bring your account #, password, and a form of ID. What would make this not work? It would increase action I think and make it easier for a lot of people.

Or is this out there already?

There are phone accounts for sportsbetting for Nevada residents, and I believe Cantor Gaming is working on approval to offer its "pocket casino" software online to residents in Nevada, also. But other than that the general state of things is "Online gambling is illegal".

Both Harrahs and MGM are ready to pounce with online poker offerings should legislation pass making it legal to do so.

You have to actually be in Nevada and it is largely a pain. Someday maybe their will be vegas books operating around the world, but I expect it will take the economy getting much worse than it is now.

You must log in to their network from a local IP address

That's not the definition of intranet, but yes there are IP restrictions.

Not only that. One must be using Cox Cable, the local ripoff cable monopoly.

The entire remote sportsbetting system, phone and internet, is slow, problematic, low limits.

Think of the worst experiences you've had technically with any online book, then multiply by 10.

Personally like the feeling of getting tickets and cashing them in right then and there.

A handful of casinos offer phone wagering from a local number, and the only one that offers online betting is Station Casinos called Sports Connection. Which you connect via a VPN. http://www.stationsportsconnection.com/

Isn't this the case with 99% of all cable operators?

What everyone is saying is correct. You MUST be a resident of Nevada to use any of these services. This is why one or more of the people who I gamble with are residents of Nevada. You will see that just about every group of "high Rollers" or "Wise Guys" has a Nevada resident amongst them.

Like others have said, there is a very low limit, like $250 for the day phone system. At least it was about two years ago when I looked into it. Some casino have been able to add limit internet action, but under the strictest regulations.

As others have mentioned also, internet wagering is against State Law and of course accepting phone bets is against the wire act, so.... Obviously they have extenuating conditions that allow them to circumvent these laws to a certain degree.

I might add I am not a resident of Nevada and everything I have mention is from dated research, however, I am pretty sure the laws have not change, but there may have been improvements done to the phone system; last I heard they were working on a GPS mobile phone service.

My dream in life is to be in a big time betting syndicate like Big Daddy HQ and make bets like he does, he is clearly the smartest man on this forum and maybe in the world.
