I don't know how they make the payouts now, or how they even got in all that mess in the first place ofc.
My point was just that...can you imagine a book like Wsex actually stiffing ppl, and the industry like bookmaker etc. simply will watch the bad news spread?

update: as stated earlier deposited replacement check on 10/08. Still looks okay (i.e. it hasn't bounced) but was waiting on it as the last one bounced after 5 days, so I'm feeling a little less hesitant. Might actually take out the money now. FWIW I called twice a week after the first one bounced, maybe the squeaky wheel gets the grease.Comment -

WSEX has settled 5 more player slow-pay complaints. WSEX still owes $102,029 to 10 players. A new player was added to SBR's slow-pay list this week who has $3,000 and $2,960 withdrawals pending. His checks were requested on March 11th and April 13th. WSEX has stated that player will receive one check next week with the subsequent one to follow. Its definitely not FAIR, but it doesn't surprise me, financially stressed businesses do this all the time. They can pay you $21,000 and have ONE customer paid in full (and not complaining) or use that same $21,000 and probably pay off at least a DOZEN other customers in full. Usually the largest liabilities in these situations are the last to get their $$. Definitely not fair to you, but I'm sure wsex is trying to maximize the bang for the limited bucks they have to pay out.Comment -
Well, I just received a check for 5,000. I received one for 3,000 a few weeks ago. Assuming this check goes through that will pay off my 3 checks. The furthest one dating back to 2/23/10. I dont know if this means they are going to start paying again. Part of me wishes I would have continued to bet there for the hell of it and the other half says no. I still have 5500 in my account. i got 1st check(7 months late) 2 weeks ago(it did clear). called and cancelled 2nd check for the 30% bonus. hope more people do the same. so they will have money to pay me but even more important is that this book gets back to where it was. i like playing there. like the set up. like live betting there. but all this is meaningless if they can't get back on thier feet. and that takes people trusting them again and depositing. do not see why anyone would trust them already but -- i did and hope others will.Comment -

I requested a payout ($1000) last month. I was told it would take 20 business days to process. 20 days passed this week, and I just got an unsolicited email with a FedEx tracking number. Color me cautiously optimistic.Comment -
At what point can we call it a "stiff"?
Let's just say I requested a payout for $2000. 1 year later I do not have that $2000. Have I not been stiffed?
If a local owes me $2000 and avoids me like the plague for a year ... and only pays when he has no other choice, how do I recall that experience - that I did not get stiffed?
I say, "that's the guy who stiffed me for 2 grand! Finally got paid a year later!"
You tell me if he ever gets any action again.

I was told Matchbook would "consider" resuming transfers via WSEX, but only under the condition that I transfer at least the same amount back to WSEX before I could cash-out or transfer elsewhere. Disillusioned, I figured there are better ways to slowly withdraw some money out of WSEX. Truth be told if you are actively using this book I find it near impossible to draw down there whether they pay or not.Comment -

Nothing has changed since I posted this over 4 months ago . . . do not trade with WSEX . . . sooner or later you will be unhappy if you do.WSEX has gone downhill in the past year or two. They:- have slow pays (took me a month to get paid)
- use to have Live Betting offerings everyday . . . now some days they have none
- use to offer Live Betting totals betting . . . but have not in the past several months
- Pause Live Bettingseeminglymore often than it is available to bet.
Leaving $$ at WSEX these days is like betting . . . only bet (or leave at WSEX) that which you can afford to lose!
