BitPay Card ATM cash withdrawals return Sep 5th *edited*

Some exciting news from this first time poster that has been following this thread since March.

My card expires this month so I called bitpay yesterday from the number on the back of the card. I asked if they would automatically send me a new card. The guy replied that it was already sent last week. Cool! Then I asked if the ATM service would ever be back and he replied that it would. Tomorrow. I just got back from the store after giving it a 'test' withdrawal. I took a '$40 fast cash from primary checking' and BOOM! Success! This card is back in action!

Exactly. Many people were cut off before they stopped the ATM back in March. Mix it up and don't be so greedy. Use the card for purchases, or bills, or anything but exclusive ATM cash withdrawals.

Jnas... when you use it to pay for something at Target... does the screen ask you if you want cash back? Is that how it works? Also, what were the fees involved? Did BitPay charge you?

no fees...at POS terminal just enter cash back amount....Wally world allows 100$ some other near me $200

Sorry for the confusion I used the ATM that was at Target. It was $3 fee on the atm.

I dont think target will give cash back but not totally sure on that

That sucks. With a lower max, they’ve effectively raised the cost of taking money out. I’ll stick with ACH transfers from BitPay thank you.

Yes, this use to work... but they require ID at 1k now. Wouldn't be wise to fork over the ID constantly.

Well the last time I did the WM MO thing, a month a ago or so, things were different. Maybe new policy, maybe different employees have different understanding of the rules but I went from returning unused MO for full refund, No fee and No ID, to them making me cash the MO and charging the $4 fee and asking for ID. Under $1000.

You order the ACH debit via your own online banking. Not at the Bitpay end.

That link tells you how to get your Bitpay account numbers and their bank name to input in your bank interface to do it.


If you can't work out how you need to ask your own bank how to initiate an ACH debit from a different bank account in your name into your bank's account.

If you gotta woodman's by you, they let you get $200 with debit transaction (type in your pin and get cash back.) Just buy some gum or a candy bar and get $200 a few times. Easy way to get $600 or $800 in multiple transactions, no fees! Woodys rocks!
