BitPay Card ATM cash withdrawals return Sep 5th *edited*

For us guys who use it daily it’s a blessing the no cash back as it keeps card alive.....way to many idiots doing max atm withdrawals daily ect if continued would of had good chance of ending card I think...

I'm pretty sure that's why they got rid of the cash back. Feds were probably questioning them concerning money laundering. They didn't want their bank getting shut down. I'm fine with it. I don't understand what the obsession is with having cash when nowadays you can buy pretty much anything with a debit card. I guess if you are buying drugs or hookers you need cash other than that I don't get it. I hardly ever pay with cash anymore.

Card isn't working for purchases. Was hoping it was just an issue with my card. Called customer service and the lady says it's affecting everyone and no estimated time it will be fixed. I think this might be the end. I hope I'm wrong. Anybody able to use their card?

had a small charge at a food place declined today. Called in they said systems are down and expect it to be back at 3am EST. Not looking good. What will they do with the money sitting in the accts?

Dam. That's not good. Yesterday I had mine declined buying groceries it was embarrassing because I didn't have any other cards with me. I tried it again to make a small online purchase and it got declined. I called customer service and they said they were having issues. It worked for me early morning at the gas station now according to you it's not working again. I think I'm done with them. They could at least have a warning before you load the card. Worst customer service ever. Nothing worse than trying to buy something and you get declined when you have the fukin money on the card.

mine worked for gas and donuts around 7:30 AM have not tried since....Today was wacky day as some Internet and cell phone coverage was down in Midwest so it may have something to do with that...Ill try it tomorrow going to work and report

I wouldn't worry about them stealing the money. They will have to mail out checks if the card is done. It's V I s a they aren't going to steal your money. Just frustrating they don't even put out a warning that the card isn't working.

Dam this is frustrating. What a garbage company. I go to their Twitter page and no mention of card not working just them promoting their garbage product. Sickening at least address the issue. People rely on their card to make purchases and you have to call them and sit on hold for an hour to get an answer. Fuk these people. I'm definitely cancelling my card. Every bank I have ever used at least would address the issue on their website or Twitter account.

For now just use the ach option and transfer the cash to a bank account until it’s working again. I still haven’t had any problems on my end though if that helps.

Yea worked here to just paid my electric bill......if guys have issues with debit function just bypass that and hit enter instead of entering pin at pos and runs as credit

When it was declined it was using credit not debit at the terminal

They may have updated their systems. They sent me an email and called me on a charge to see if it was legit. Never got that before.

How do you ach money out to a bank acct? I know how to pay bills via ACH.

You can do transfers just like you would pay a bill. Do it from your bank side

Is debit transaction not working anymore?? I tried to use the card today as debit and the card was getting declined. I knew I had money in the card so I went ahead and tried it again as credit and it went through... if the card doesnt work as debit, it will be really suck since we will not be able to buy MO.

It seems as though there's no a rhyme or reason why debit doesn't work at times. I use credit for everything except when purchasing gas. When I purchase gas on credit some times a $100 hold is put on the card that may not clear for a few days.

I think there could be something going on. I just called my insurance company to make my insurance payment and card is keep getting declined... I called bitpay customer service and nobody picking up the call.. I asked them to give me a call when it's no my turn.. so we will see what's going on..

I've used my card for 2 years. I've used debit cards for over 20 years. I know how they work. When you go try to use your card at 3 places and it gets declined when there is money on it obviously there is a problem. I called customer service and they confirmed there was issues with the card working. Luckily it was temporary. But yes me and I believe others do know how to use a debit card.

How can you speak on someone else's behalf if they know how to use the card? Because clearly everyone can't.
