BitPay Card ATM cash withdrawals return Sep 5th *edited*

I’ve always had a fee from Coinbase btc wallet to the usd wallet when doing this. How do you get around that? I didn’t see an option to send from btc wallet to PayPal.

I havnt cashed out in a bit and the last time i did i used bitoay card, but you can sell on coinbase pro using your same login info as the regular coinbase, then transfer to paypal i believe. Once you get to paypal, either do the instant transfer to debit card 1% fee or max $10...or transfer via ach to checking account...if you do it before a certain time (cant remember what time, maybe 5ish??) It usually goes thru next business day and is in your checking acct.

If you move your bitcoin to the Coinbase Pro trading exchange you can sell it for US$ yourself for a 0.5% fee instead of the 1.49% fee they charge to do the transfer for you.

Can you sell directly to your bank from Edge (formerly Airbitz)? I only see the buy option. The older Airbitz is still available to download, does it still work....?

Why not use this card as a regular credit card and purchase items off the internet or in person? I've purchased gift cards off from Amazon and Grubhub with this.

the bitpay network load fee is like $1.80 or so now plus miners fee of at least a buck fifty so now over $3.00 just to load and have funds available in timely manner...I have been using card a lot last few weeks burning balance since I have not received my new one yet...anyone get a new card yet?

Not trying to judge people but what is the point of buying a *********** and signing it to yourself? First of all that looks sketchy as hell as far as money laundering laws go. Second there are many quicker options to get cash in hand than using a bitpay card to buy money orders. Isn't near impossible even to cash a ***********? I remember years ago I couldn't even cash the fukin thing. I had to wait like 5 days for it to clear my bank account.

They can't just keep the money, they would have to transfer it to the new card or cut him a check for the remaining balance. Luckily I got into the game late, and my card is good until 08/2020 if it's around that long.

You can always call and say you need a replacement card for a different reason and have them fed ex it to you, might be worth it for peace of mind

A bit unrelated but wondering if anyone can help. A few days ago the bitpay wallet itself was generating an error rather than showing the green payment sent screen. This happened to me a few times that morning but all the payments/bitpay card loads went through fine.
I also bought a fairly sizeable Amazon gift card. When the error happened the money got sent but I never got the code to redeem the gift card in the wallet nor in my email. I tried calling but all wallet issues have to be handled through email so I sent one. Has been 3 days so far and no answer.

Anyone know a better way to figure this out?

Correct... the card would technically expire July 1st. You wouldn't be able to use it.

Bitpay doesn't gouge you on the rate. It's usually very close to the going rate. For example.... when you type in how much you want to load on your Bitpay card... and you get the quote... if you don't like the quote.... you don't have to send the BTC amount. (I do this all the time.) You can log back in... and request another load amount.... and if you like that quote... then send it. Even though it says quote will expire in 15 minutes.... it's not necessarily true. You should always initiate the payment on the Bitcoin network in that time frame... but it doesn't need to be confirmed quickly.


As for your Bitpay wallet.... I have no clue in what an encrypted password is all about? Hopefully someone with a Bitpay wallet can help you? I've only used Electrum and blockchain wallet before.

As money said rate is fine they just charge a network fee of 1.70 or so regardless if you add 10 $ or 10,000$ Doesn’t matter it’s same as far as encrypted pass code that’s on you as all mine I have written down all wallets have that as a back up in case you forget pin...bitpay cs is good so I’m sure they will help

Bitpay told me that they sent me a new card. After 15 days I still hadn't received my card. Then I paid $25 to have a new card expedited and received one in 2 days.

Same here said it’s sent early may but has not arrived....said I can request new one sent but have to send them verification of address...I’ll wait few more days but need that card :’
